    Funny, after messing with all those steps, I was starting to think it CAUSED dementia .

    i would think ANYTHING that makes one use his/her brain would help

    not having too much exposure to aluminum would too---

    not have a close relative with Alzheimer's would also help

    sometimes it's a matter of luck.....

    or not....

    we can only do so much..................

    I fondly remember a researcher speaking on Alzheimers, stating that the only way that aluminium could be a causative agent would be if you were hit repeatedly over the head with a baseball bat! British coal-miners once inhaled powdered aluminium before their shift to prevent silicosis. There's no evidence for increased incidence of Alzheimers in this occiupational group

    Sending this to my Dad - Mum keeps nagging him about spending too much time on his computer anyhow............
    p.s. Dad is in his mid seventies and he runs a computer class for older people!!! Yep! there are plenty of granny/grandad netsurfers out there:chuckle:
