Baby Grace killed over manners

Zeigler wanted his wife to spank Riley with a belt when she failed to say things like "please" and "yes sir" or "no sir," Stickler said Wednesday. Zeigler didn't believe Trenor was doing it, however, because the 2-year-old's behavior wasn't changing.

The fatal beating happened after Zeigler stayed home from work to make sure his wife was following his discipline plan, Stickler said.

In her statement to Galveston authorities, Trenor said the girl was beaten with leather belts, had her head held underwater in a bathtub and then was thrown across a room, her head slamming into a tile floor.
She was two!!! The toddlers I've been around are hard to understand. And she most certainly was not in an environment where her parents sat down with her, read to her and nurtured her. If they had nurtured she wouldn't be dead.

Hell isn't hot enough for these two.

I saw this on CNN yesterday morning. For the first time in my life (I consider myself to have a strong stomach) I actually thought I was going to throw up from hearing about this little girl locked in a toy box and thrown in the water. Sick, twisted and absolutely disgusting examples of human beings. I put them right up there with Mengele in my book of most damnable people ever to live.

    So sickening.

During orientation in July 1996 in the ER where I worked for 10 years, one of my first pts was a 4 y/o tortured to death over a 90 minute period by the live-in boyfriend. It was so sad - everyone from the physicians, to the hardened police officers to the chaplain were in tears. It was so very sad. I still think often of that precious little girl and the life she missed.

I started reading this article the other day and I just lost it ..... made me so sick.

Why people expect a 2 year old to act like an adult is beyond me and they have NO business ever having children :angryfire

We need a license to fish but not parent. disgusting.

Absolutely an illustration of the value of early childhood and family education.

So true. But then again these people were never capable of parenting, only breeding.

OP is right, Hell is too good for these two. I can't remember when something has made me so ill. And that poor grandma with the Elmo doll she had bought for that baby's Christmas - I can't imagine the horror she felt so far away at hoping it WASN"t her grandbaby.........

Oh my dear Lord. I have no words, I'm just sick to my stomach.
What horrible people, what a needless loss of a beautiful little girl.

If there was ever any proof the two humans could possibly not have souls... these two would be a good candidate. I wonder if they feel any remorse at all.

I will probably recieve heat from this, but, wouldnt it have been kinder if this mother would have aborted this precious child? I am not in favor of abortion, but to hear of this baby being tortured this way just makes me think she would have been better off not being born.I have warned young women I have known and worked with to really really get to know their partner before letting them move into their home with their children, especially if the child is not biologically the boyfriends. Makes me just sick.

No heat . . . it is just a huge jump to abortion in cases like this.

We need to start with educating young women regarding life choices and consequences and teaching them to value themselves.

Too many girls/young women, even after feminism, devalue themselves and put up with being mistreated.

I commend you for talking to young women with children about the risks of letting men move in. This would be a good things for pediatricians to do.

The jump to abortion is not meant to be a political point, it is a heartfelt wish that women who are going to be dangerous mothers would sooner abort a child before that child has awareness, than at age two , when that child was at the mercy of her stupid mother and her boyfriend. Some women can be taught and will take it to heart, some are only "breeders" and stupid ones at that. There have been programs out there that do try to teach at risk mothers how to parent safely, but some people will NEVER learn, due to whatever reasons, maybe they were abused children themselves and couldnt overcome the damage done to themselves.
