Avatars

  1. I was communicating with poppycat and noted her avatar was of a puppy.

I believe, and am reasonably sure Farawyn would agree, that this would be far more appropriate:

Regarding the proposed AVATAR for Farawyn with a razor blade on her tongue (. . . Don't know if I can tell this to make any sense. . . but I'll tell it anyway.)

Back during my freshman year in music college (back during the fall of 1978), I had one very cool instructor for an English-type course which focused on poets and playwrights (especially those who wrote for the genre, "Theater of the Absurd"). Almost always, he would come to class wearing a black shirt, black pants, black belt with studs, black boots (he wore a whole lot of black), sporting long, stringy, kind-of washed hair down past his shoulder, and earrings of skulls & cross-bones. In other words, he looked like one of the many darker punk-rock students which attended my music college back then. LOL! He was one of my favorite instructors who opened my eyes to a world that was truly outside the one which I grew up knowing during my youth. I also remember him being a very talented poet. He would hold staged poetry readings of his work at near-by stages in Boston, MA, many of which I attended during my freshman year. Now, realize that my memory of things nearly 40 years ago kind of sucks. BUT. . . I remember one line of one of his poems which reverberates in my head nearly 40 years later. As was most of his works, this poem was dark in nature, and it was about a woman whom he might of known during his youth. I don't remember the entire poem, of course, but I remember this one line. . . and it went like this:

". . . she is so mean; she is so mean, she eats razor blades. . . "

It truly is a line from a poem that projects a whole lot of imagery. LOL!

I am not implying that such a line would describe our friend, Farawyn. But, creating such an AVATAR, for anyone, would be very funny and a whole lot of fun, Davey Do. LOL!

The saying here in California is someone is "meaner than cat manure".
