I have heard some of the same thoughts in Canada. One reason we are so dependent on immigration is to deal with the aging population. We need young workers. It will have a huge impact on the culture of the country in the long run.

Does producing two children count as "one for the country???"

Especially as one of them is serving the country!!! :icon_hug:

We have been encouraged for about the last 50 years to "go forth and populate". For years now the only way we have had a positive population growth is through immigration.

We are a small population in a country that is the same size as mainland USA. However there are those who will argue that we are already overpopulated simply because most of our continent is dry.
