People were talking about this at work today. What a breakthrough. What a nightmare for the parents. I hope they've got the murderer for real.

I heard he had actually been arrested for sex crimes unrelated to the murder and if that is the case I REALLY hope that the US authorities drag thier feet on extradition and allow him time to taste the joy of the "Bangkok Hilton".:angryfire

And to think that Mrs Ramsey died with many people thinking she was guilty? Too sad.

What's not nice about hoping a child abuser gets the punishment he deserves? I'd rest peacefully if Thailand got first crack at this guy.

i have heard horror stories about the use of small children, some really babies, with men from the usa going there where they can get away with their sick sick ways

I read that they knew about this supect about a month before Patsy Ramsey died. So, hopefully she was aware at the end. May she and JonBenet rest in peace now.

Coincidentally a movie was just on the Lifetime network about the case "Perfect murder, perfect town" I watched it over the weekend.I really never thought we would see a break in the case.I read the father's statement on CNN-He says that both he and his wife knew about the investigation and probable arrest of this man prior to his wife's recent death. It looks like DNA will seal this person's fate. There will be a press conference sometime tomorrow by the Boulder DA's office. Looks like those of us that suspected the family were wrong-so many factors made them unlikable and we really judged them unfairly.....May mom and daughter rest in peace...

It is a weird turn of events . . . still doesn't make alot of sense.

This morning the guy's statement says he kidnapped her from school but didn't Patsy say she tucked her into bed that night?

I said the same thing. I do hope they drag the extradition...is this not the place where an American teeny-bopper got "canned"?

I have a visceral reaction when this dirt bag comes on the tube. Yuk.

Yeah, I was watching PrimeTime or Dateline or whatever last night and they were talking about this and there seems to be a lot of holes in the man's story. Besides what you mentioned, steph, he claimed he drugged her, but there no evidence of such in toxicology reports and his ex-wife recalls being with him at a relative's home that Christmas in Alabama or Georgia. He claimed he sent the father letters, but the father claims he never heard of him. He also claimed her death was accidental, but the trauma which caused her death seemed to be quite intentional. It doesn't seem to add up at face value.

I just hope this guy isn't trying to step into the spotlight with deception.

Less common now Thailand has tightened it's sex offender laws but believe me you do not want to spend even one night in a Thai jail - they have a reputation for being the worst in the world
