Are you easily entertained?

  1. My husband always says I enjoy unusually simple things. One of my favorites is filling the washing machine full of rinse water and pouring the fabric softener in slowly to watch it billow out in the water...marshmallows are fun to watch in the microwave....as a kid, I used to love watching jiffy pop popcorn foil expand.....how about popping the seed pods on impatiens? (they turn inside out and throw the seeds)

Come on share....I can't be the only one to enjoy the simple things in life!! :roll

    Oh, yes I'm easily entertained.

I especially like to watch people come through the automatic doors at work and stand in front of the WRONG DOOR and pound on the door, expecting it to open.

    That's really fun to watch.

Most of my coworkers are nicer than me, and gesture to them to step in front of the other door.

I still pay attention in the elevator to get the squiggly feeling in my stomach when it goes up and stops.

But there is no greater joy in life than crossing off something from your to-do list. I keep mine on the computer and love to delete lines.

One of the things I love to do is hang laundry outside. And watching the Jiffy Pop is as good as most TV shows.

I really enjoy when my 14 yr. old daughter and I get to go to lunch with each other and I listen to all her funny stories about goofy little 14 year old boys that she likes! I find this to be our most relaxing moments we share! In fact we had one today!

I wanna buy some jiffy pop and watch it pop, just for the nostalgic feeling it brings!
How wonderful for those who can take pleasure in the simple amusements that life provides for us!

I like to defragment my computer at home and put in on so that I can sit for hours and watch the little blocks change color...

Yes, DEFINITELY easily entertained! I love nothing better than to go for a ride in the country with all the windows rolled down in the car and to smell all the summer smells, listen to all the crickets and cicadas in the fields and trees, and get my hair totally wind-blown and messy. I feel like the family dog, minus the lolling tongue, when we drive around.

I find driving through a carwash thoroughly entertaining

I love watching Andy Griffith and I Love Lucy reruns, too, l.rae!

I love people-watching anywhere. Just sit me on a bench in a mall, at a fair, on the boardwalk at the shore, wherever, and I can watch fascinated and entertained for hours.

I love watching animals do their thing-- Birds fighting over seeds on the birdfeeder, my cat washing her face, sheep and cows grazing... I even enjoy taking my cat for her yearly vet check-up because I get to see other pets and their owners.

These are just a few of my favorite simple pleasures from which I am easily entertained-- A nice topic for a summer evening.

My husband is similarly easily entertained and we occassionally ask one another, "Are you gonna leave me because I'm boring and have simple tastes?" and we always reassure one another with, "Who else would have us?"

This reminds me of some of the stuff my mom said they used to do as "country kids" ... when kids were more easily entertained...

Put small pieces of tape on the cats feet to watch them dance...

Tie a string to a Junebug's leg and let them fly around...

Mix a little whisky and sugar and watch the bugs get drunk...

Bringing jars of fireflies into the house as night lights...

playing music with blades of grass between your thumbs or humming through cigarette paper wrapped over a comb...

Making small dolls out of Mayapples or the one piece clothespins...

As a kid, my siblings and I would catch bugs in a jar...mainly bumblebees....and then pour some of our father's liquor in the jar with the bugs....watch them get drunk.....then die.

When a family member gave me a bridedoll one year as a gift, I took it outside shortly after that and watched her burn to pieces in this huge can where my father was burning leaves we had just raked in the yard. That bridedoll represented something in my life I didn't want any part of.

I also loved to sit around fire and watch it....only in a controlled setting that is.....like a campfire and fireplace.

I love to sit by the ocean for hours on end listening to the ocean sound, the seagulls, and bask in the warmth of the sun. That's being close to Heaven and my Father God...to me.

I like to write......poetry, prayers, stories...you name it...I write it.

I like to sit and watch people come and go in a mall or food court.....they are so fascinating to watch for some reason.

I like to just sit in my home when it's quiet after hubby goes to work and try NOT to think about anything stressful as I look out the living room window.

I like to watch comedies on television with my hubby just to hear his laugh because I love the way he laughs. I love to laugh too as much as possible, and a simple comedy always does the trick. We both like to watch the t.v. show "Married With Children" late at night during the weeknights. Hubby loves Al Bundy!

I love to hear my grandchildren on the other end of the phone when I say "Hello, may I help you?" :kiss

I am a simple person who enjoys as simple a life-style as possible. The less cluttered it is......the better. My new motto is:

I am too blessed to be stressed! :kiss
