Are you a good cook?

  1. blogthings - are you a good cook?

    you are an excellent cook
you're a top cook, but you weren't born that way. it's taken a lot of practice, a lot of experimenting, and a lot of learning.
it's likely that you have what it takes to be a top chef, should you have the desire..

    You Are a Learning Cook

You've got the makings of an excellent cook, and the desire to be one.
But right now, you're just lacking the experience. You couldn't be a top chef yet, but you could be an apprentice.

you are a creative cook your cooking is unusual, inspired, and definitely one of a kind. people love your unique style, but you've had your share of kitchen flops.
you have the makings of a cult chef. you may not cook at the four seasons, but you could have your own little funky cafe in san francisco!

According to this, I'm a Learning Cook. In reality, I'm actually a good but very plain cook---I like comfortable, familiar foods and am not prone to experimentation. And, if truth be told, I don't enjoy cooking as I did when I was young........I'm too busy, my family is fussy, and I don't much feel like standing up and slaving over a hot stove for hours when a) I've worked my customary 50-hour week, and b) nobody cares. The only times I go all-out anymore are at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Speaking of which, it's almost time to make the fudge...........:spin:

I eat alone too usually at the computer which is how I get so many posts . Even when John and I were together our schedules didn't jive much.

I've been fairly busy with the work/school thing and have been uninspired with my cooking, going for easy stuff like stir fries, pastas, rice and beans. I'm a vegetarian.

Some of those answers were silly. For instance I have a ton of cookbooks but I use them for the recipes not "inspiration". But it said I was an excellent cook and I am when I put my mind to it.

haha this doesn't surprise me... I hate to cook!! and it's not that exciting since I'm almost always just cooking for myself... rather just eat a sandwich or spaghetti/veggies. haha...

    You Are a Lazy Cook

Technically, you're a cook... in that you do cook the occasional frozen burrito in the microwave.
Get a little adventurous. Sprinkle some fresh cheese on that frozen pizza next

These survey things are FAR from being all-inclusive.

It says I'm an excellent cook but need to venture out more. I personally think the "tuna with wasabi" is cliche . . . I try lots and lots of new recipes and enjoy making ethnic food. I'm far from stagnant or boring. I don't like to cook the same old, same old.

Food, for me, is an adventure.

So, I think I'm a creative cook and I like to eat alone too Leslie.
