Are the costumes ready?

  1. So.... we had a thread about what we're going as for Halloween, but what about your kiddies? What are they going to be?

My guy is going as Harry Potter. How original, huh? I told him "do you know how many Harry Potter's we're gonna see?"

So c'mon..... tell me who will be ringing my doorbell.....

My boys are going to be "dead karate guys"
Just a couple of old karate uniforms and some face paint.
My girl is staying home and a friend of hers is coming over to watch tv with her.
We have never had a trick or treater come to our door. Too far in the boonies.

So Rusty, do you take them somewhere more populated to trick or treat? Or do they just go to a function of some sort? I never thought about those that live in the boonies. I'm a city girl!

We have to drive them 30 miles into town. We always go to this one neighborhood where people decorate their houses and give "good" candy.
Then we drive back and try to get them into bed (school night ya know).
So on Thursday we will drive the 30 into work, then back, pick up the kids, do the 30 back into town trick or treat and then back.
I better top off the tanks.

I live in the booneys too. I had plans to be working on holloween and I was going to be a hippy nurse lol. I was going to wear bell bottoms and a shirt with colorful daisys on it. then as an extra touch I would dye my hair purple (lol I do that all the time anyways). But since I am in a situation now where I am unable to work as of today and I am not very happy about it either.

Anyways, I will stay home in my little house in the woods and watch tv all day and all night I guess. I dont think I'll dress up unless I get really bored.

2 GI Joe's and a Ghost. We live out in the country (but not as far as Russell though). The boys will go to Grandpa's, couple Aunt's houses, and some friends of ours. I do not let them go to stranger's houses. It is going to be cold here!! Brrrrr!!!!

Hrm, one is a Renaissance Lady (she walks around proclaiming to all who will listen "I am Countess Victoria and I am going to see the QUEEN.") and the other one is a Sorceress...oh and the baby is a pea pod...if he will wear his hat. If not, he's staying home with Daddy to give out the candy.

My sons are now 17 (in 14 days) and 14---decided on NO costumes and not trick or treating.

    HOWEVER,
14 yo is carving TWO pumpkins to place at end of driveway.
Husband already did one with me "Tiffany's Window"-spider suspended in stained glass window.
Will post pics this weeken. Any other Pumpkin Carvers out there?????

Will have fun giving out candy to kids and eating leftovers.
COLD here and rainy---hope clears up tomorrow.

    HAVE FUN everyone!

NO I am not a pumpkin carver! Good God I had no idea how much WORK that is!! All that stringy stuff and scooping.. my wrists and arms were sore! Yeah, I thought, I'll be super Mom and carve 2 great big ass pumpkins and two medium pumpkins for inside. It took me almost 4 hours to carve those suckers! Yes, they looked great when I was done and I had the cool little tea candles inside.

Well, I got them all set up, lit the candles, turned off all the lights, brought Emma in to see them (she was 4 at the time), and she immediately ran from the room screaming in terror.

Nope, not doing it again. You can't make me. No way.
