Anyone out there interested in billiards?

  1. I'm just full of ideas tonight! Anyway, does anyone here on my beloved BB play pool or billiards. I just bought myself a new cue stick and I can't wait to try it out. So does anyone find breaking a rack of pool balls therapeutic or is it just me? Let me know if you play on a pool league or just for fun. Warrior Woman.

The only balls that I wouldn't mind cracking are those balls that got away between the legs of all those raunchy men who lied to me about loving me. Now...I could take a cue stick to those balls any day!

I luv playing pool Warrior Woman! It's a great way to relax. We used to have a pool table in our basement. We have to learn to make "trick" shots around the poles, and the furnance down there...:chuckle. I could play for hours, and hours! The only thing would stop us, is mom saying time for bed! I would always wait for her to call me by my full name before I stopped...:chuckle. Sounds like a great idea to go try out your new stick... Have fun...

Oh yeah! But I haven't actually played in years!! We had a great pool table in my house growing up. Dad taught me to play, and I got really good. Then, when my dad died, mom sold the pool table to mutual friends. Funny, they never set it up. About a year later, my best friend from HS bought the table, and set it up in his basement. In my senior year, several of us would cut classes and go over to play pool all afternoon.

My friend left the table at his mom's house, but now has a house of his own, and brought the table there. So I have been very blessed to play on my dad's lucky table for many years, just not in the last 10 or so. Hubby has, but I haven't.

Breaking the rack, is the best feeling! I have never played for a league, but we had many regulars who used to congregate at Paul's house to play. I could do better than most of the guys, but I kept my secrets close to the vest!

We used to play almost every Friday night last winter. We got out of the habit with discovering this new town that we moved into in April.

It is so relaxing; my partner and I are pretty evenly matched so we always had the best fun being competitive. Hmmmm.... sounds like a new cue stick is going to bring many happy smiles your way Warrior Woman... have fun my dear.
