BURBANK, Calif. (Reuters) - NBC, already hot on the trail for talented kids and senior citizens, is now looking for a few good moms to marry off.

The network on Thursday said it will launch a new reality series, "Who Wants to Marry My Mom?," in a five-episode installment this spring.

The show, NBC said, is a spinoff of its dating show "Meet My Folks," and will feature the adult children of single mothers choosing among several candidates to decide who gets to go with their mom on a fantasy vacation.

Last week, NBC unveiled two talent-based reality series, "The Search for the Most Talented Kid in America" and "Second Chance: The Search for the Most Talented Senior in America." Both series are set to air later this season.

You know, I enjoy one or two of them on accasion, but I will agree that we're becomming inundated with them.

Did you see the commercial for the one? "Are You Hot?" They showed contestants standing up in front of the judges who were haning out Simon-type insults. "YOU SO NEED A DIET!"

That just crossed some kind of line for me. Like with all the pressures some younguns are facing these days aren't bad enough.

    ah consider the sources
the judges in that hot or not show are rachel hunter (she married rod stewart, wtf does she know bout sexy?)

lorenzo lamas (of soap opera fame, use the term fame lightly)
and some fashion designer, the closest he ever gets to a woman is his freakin sketchbook...
but i would have to agree, its getting ridiculous...
why cant we have those totally unbelievable sitcoms back?????!???!
