Anyone got one of those electric poultry roasters that the chicken goes "round

  1. and round?" I'm thinking about buying one for my sister in law and maybe one for me. Its the one where you can put steak or ham or chicken - - whatever - - on it.
    Here's my question..........
1.) do you like it ???????????

2.) what to you sprinkle on your chicken to give it a nice flavor prior to cooking??//

    Thanks for responses.

I had one a few years ago. Not the nice one they show on the infomercial, but a cheaper version. I used it a few times, but it took a lot longer to cook than it said it would, and just did not seem to cook evenly enough for me. However, as I said, it was a cheaper version and it was a few years ago. I'm sure a better quality one that is of the newer generation would probably be great. I just love rotisserie chicken bought at the grocery store already prepared.

I have one and would be absolutely lost without it. The only thing I put on the outside of the chicken is salt, and I'm pleased to say, plenty of it. I know it's soooo bad for us, and so is the skin, but it is soooo good and crispy. I've decided I don't want to die healthy anyway. What a waste of a death. Might as well enjoy myself. I figure the health nuts are gonna look so silly in the nursing home in their dotage saying "I'm here cause my son put me here. There's nothin wrong with me. Gonna live forever" I wanna know that when I go the the nsg home, there's a really good reason! :chuckle

:Snowman3: Yes I have one! It is wonderful. We not only cook chicken but also roast beef and I have also prepared a small Turkey. I generally sprinkle anything that sounds good on the outside. For chicken I like Montreal Chicken seasoning, Mesq. BBQ seasoning, or even just paparika, garlic, seasoned salt, and fresh ground pepper. I always place water in the bottom of the drip tray that comes inside of the unit. It makes for a bit of moisture in the cooking cavity and provides a quick clean up. I have also been known to place thickly sliced lemon and lime into the water along with a sprig of fresh rosemary and maybe a few cloves of garlic.
If you decide to invest, my unit was purchased at a major department store. You will not be sorry.
    Enjoy!

I love my George Forman ! You must tie the chickens legs very well or they will flop around. I also love to do k-bobs in it

I have a George Foreman one, as well. Well worth the money, in my opinion. I've put burgers and hotdogs in the basket, too. My in-laws have one of the big expensive Showtime ones, and they love that one, too.

Ok, someone suggested I make a separate thread. Everywhere I change the channel I see Chef Tony and Jennilee Harrison demonstrating the Ultimate Chopper. I would love to buy one but want to know if anyone on these boards have bought one and is it as good as they show it on the informercial???
