Anyone else...

  1. Having a hard month?

Dunno what the problem is but it seems like this month is set to break me. If it can go wrong, it is. I know from reading some of other threads that others are having a hard time, which makes me wonder exactly what's in the water!

I usually avoid sleep like the plague, but lately it's all I can do to drag myself out of the bed. Six hours a night is a good rest for me, seven to eight is sleeping all day.

Guess I need to suck it up and deal with it... but in addition to things previously mentioned... I'm feeling sorta whiney.

Sorry to hear you're bummed Dave, seems it's just in the air. I've been in the dumps myself and just can't seem to pull myself up by my bootstraps like I usually do...

Everybody has the right to be whiney once in a while!

    Thanks Manna!

I really really really know what you're saying.

Right now, I'm performing aerial spraying of Effexor

yeah i'm not brill either. I think my problem is being over worked, fed up of no staff....the usual stuff really. I have been waiting on my local uni to get back to me about another course, but they are taking their time. I want out of hospital setting and do my health visiting course.
Too true it must be something in the water as it has travelled over here to uk too
Any way chin up folks life is what you make it.

It's been a hard year so far for me, Dave. Almost more than I can bear. Yet I keep on looking for that silver lining...cause I know quitting is not an option. Hang in there and keep the sunny side up.

Yup Dave, it's been a hard month here too! See my post on the gen nursing board, it goes into more detail.

When it rains it pours! Keep your head up! You have two (?) wonderful kids to take care of. Phases, don't they just suck!

See, here I am griping out my little problems when you actually have a REASON for your dismay. I can't even imagine what you've been through this year .

I'm here if you need anything.

Totally Illel. I'll run over there and read your post.

I'm thinking of asking my mother if she ever had a case of male post partum depression?

yep- been a bad month here too!! what is it with patients??? had to do an ecg yesterday on a 33yr old with severe chest pain.. ok I thought it wasnt cardiac but he was terrified so did one anyway. told him to take his shirt off.. so he started taking his jeans off.. said.. its ok, you only need to take your shirt off.. to which he replied, its ok, I'm looking forward to getting my kit off with you!!! grrrrrrrrrrrr his next comment ensured that he had his whole chest shaved (and i hope it itches like hell) He asked me if I was a real nurse.. and did I get 'turned on wearing the uniform'!!! ok.. I'm running out of places to hide the bodies!!

I'm voting for a new thread. Have you ever been hit on by a patient.

Oh the stories I could tell.
