Anybody collect Beanie Babies?

  1. I was just wondering if anybody else on this BB besides me collects Beanies. I just buy the teddies now. I'm so excited as I got TWO new beanies this weekend! Smitten, the Valentines Day Bear and Dublin, the Saint Patricks Day bear! It's another addiction of mine in addition to my shoe fetish and Clinique fetish!

I don't collect the beanies but I have some, well many, haven't purchased one in a few years.

Those two are the newest bears that I've come across. I only get the bears as I believe those will be worth the most money in the future.

That's the recommended selling price from TY but most places sell them for at least 6 bucks or so. I paid $7 for Smitten and 5.99 for Dublin. I paid 14 bucks for the 98 Holiday teddy which is REALLY hard to find at a flea market.

I collect beanie babies. I use them as dectoration for the holidays. My boyfriend would buy me and him one so we have two of everything. I have my valentine beanies out now...They make cute decoration.

I used to collect them. Was real bad at it a couple years ago.Now they sit in rubbermaid tubs in the closet.I do bring some out to decorate for holidays. I also have buddies and the cards. I was badly addicted.

I just wanted to mention that there is an organization called 'Beanies for Preemies' that collects and hands out Beanie Babies and other small, bean-filled stuffed animals to preemies on the NICU unit. They're good for the babies because they can be molded to the body to provide physical support and pressure, which the preemies usually like (makes them feel secure and comforted) and because they're small enough to look appropriate (ever seen a regular sized stuffed animal next to a 26 weeker?). Just a thought, if any of you were thinking of scaling down your collection. ;>) I'm sure the NICU near you would appreciate them.
