Any Myers Briggs personality test takers?

  1. A student here curious to see if there are any ENTJ / INTJ / ENTP / INTP personalities in the nursing field? If so where do you work/ what is your specialty?

If you haven't taken the test, you can take it here:
    http://similarminds.com/jung.html

I've taken the test multiple times, I get very even on the introverted / extroverted and on the judging / perceiving. I am not exactly sure how accurate these tests even are, or how accurate the "suggested careers" are on each of the pages I come across.

I've taken the test! It's helped me tremendously understand myself and how others may see me. I work in inpatient mental health hospital in the dual diagnosis unit.

If you don't mind me asking, what's your personality type? :-)

Oh, I'm INTJ! What is your personality type?

I've taken the test numerous times with different results, but the first letter
is ALWAYS "I", that never changes with me. This time I'm ISTP.

I'm an INTJ, and have been every time i've taken the test. I work in Cardiac/Tele/Stepdown. I've managed to get better at talking and conversing with patients; however when i'm out of patient rooms I tend to stay in my pod and not socialize as much as the others do (when there is a free minute to socialize!!)

I'm any of the ones I listed in the original post. Heh! Its never just one.
I score pretty much in the middle in all of them. None are significantly higher than the other. So I'm wondering if this is even accurate. I think personalities are too complex to be narrowed down to a single category, that's just my opinion though! :-P

INTP here. Highly passionate about gero, peds, hem/onc and palliative care. Are you trying to figure out a specialty to pursue?

    Very interesting!
I have 3 I'm really interested in, I'm just seeing how similar (or different) everyone else is. Perhaps I should have included everyone to mention whether or not they like where they work. ;-)

I am an INTJ working med-surg as an LVN and can say it is TOTALLY the wrong area of nursing for my personality. Way too much personal interaction involved (I like working with just a few pts/people at a time), way too hectic, way too much drama. The only reason I haven't quit is that I am working night shift. I think med-surg is best suited for very task-oriented extroverted types. As a newly-licensed RN, I am hoping to move into L&D or ICU. Less patients to focus on in these areas, more critical thinking, more autonomy.
