Antidepressant use

  1. I know this kinda resembles some recent threads but here is my question. If you take antidepressants, at what time do you take it? I am on Celexa but but since I changed work schedules I am getting all scr&*%^ up. I work 3-4 1900-0700. I take the pill when I go to bed but..that is sometimes 9a or 11p. It would make sense to take it same time daily but I have always taken it at HS.

I work the night shift also, so the meds I take that are to be taken at the same time each day, I take at 4:00 p.m. It is the only time of day that I know I am consistently awake whether working or on my day off.

I'm on Celexa......don't work outside my home right now.....and I take my Celexa everyday between 4 and 6 p.m. I try to take it consistently at the same time each day as I think it's important to do that. Hope this helps you. :kiss

I am also on Celexa and take it every day around 4pm- 6pm (depending on my schedule). If I change the time frame to morning or early afternoon, I get awfully tired. I don't see how the 9-11 time should pose a problem (as long as your consistant).

I'm going to start taking my Celexa at 4 PM and see how that works for me. Sounds like a good idea. I am usually awake at that time, sometimes even sociable by then:chuckle

I took Celexa a couple of years ago. It made me so jumpy and I could not sleep. Dr. said these are not side effects. I guess I am just weird. Once I had even forgot I took it, but soon remembered while I was trying to figure out why I couln't sleep.
