Another Wedding!

  1. Another fricken family wedding tonight. I don't know if I have the intestinal fortitude to sit through another one! Don't have the choice, I'm the catering service and the "entertainment".

. . . and what is your "entertainment"?????

Sorry. . . my mind is in "warped mood" . I worked last night and haven't been to bed yet. The mind just thinks of strange things when one is sleepy.

Just make your entertainment. . . . extra fun! (At least for yourself! )

    Cheers to you!

I was JUST asked yesterday. I'm singing during the ceremony. Anyone who wants to go as my "date" is welcome.

I may do more, depending on how much vino I injest. And there WILL be some wine drinking!

I think I forsee a bit of drama happening. Bride's mother has already refused to come.

OOOhh this sounds like it will be a good story...isn't family drama the best! Unless of course it's immediate family :uhoh21:

I'd be more than happy to escort you, Lady A.

Hope you're a better wedding singer than Adam Sandler.

Is the whole wedding last minute? Thank God you agreed to do it. What would they have done if you said 'no'??

That's ok, when hubby and I got married, as his father and I were dancing, (while hubby was dancing with my mother) his father's comment to me wasn't 'gee you look nice' or 'your parents really had a nice reception fo ryou two' or I hope you'll be happy'

no, he said' well, if you can put up with us, I GUESS we can put up with YOU.' I walked off the dance floor in tears, with my Italian boy cousins wanting to kick his a$$. thank God we moved 3,000 miles away from them,

    Let us know what happens.

Aussie.....my FIRST mother-in-law wore a brown housedress with an old wool coat over it to my wedding to her son which she did not want to happen. She wouldn't even sign for him to marry me until THE DAY BEFORE the wedding. The only way she finally went to the courthouse and signed the papers permitting her son to marry me was he threatened to disown her if she didn't sign the papers. His father had already signed the papers. I hear she did the same thing to his older brother when he was only days from his wedding. Their sister didn't need her permission to marry, so she's the only one of the three kids who escaped their mother's wrath. After the wedding was over, she didn't even come down the steps to attend the reception which was held in the church basement. Oh...she also refused the flower bouquet I had bought for both our mothers. My aunt said she snatched it out of her hand, and stuffed in her big black purse, and wouldn't let the ushers seat her. You think I would have learned THEN that I was getting married into the WRONG damn family.
