Oh see now you have to keep us posted!! I love a good wedding with lots of drama!! My Mother-in-law wore black to my wedding!!My mother was aghast!
Aussie.....my FIRST mother-in-law wore a brown housedress with an old wool coat over it to my wedding to her son which she did not want to happen. She wouldn't even sign for him to marry me until THE DAY BEFORE the wedding.
The only way she finally went to the courthouse and signed the papers permitting her son to marry me was he threatened to disown her if she didn't sign the papers. His father had already signed the papers. I hear she did the same thing to his older brother when he was only days from his wedding. Their sister didn't need her permission to marry, so she's the only one of the three kids who escaped their mother's wrath.
After the wedding was over, she didn't even come down the steps to attend the reception which was held in the church basement. Oh...she also refused the flower bouquet I had bought for both our mothers. My aunt said she snatched it out of her hand, and stuffed in her big black purse, and wouldn't let the ushers seat her.
You think I would have learned THEN that I was getting married into the WRONG damn family.
