Another question for my cyber siblings!

  1. As some of you may know, me and the hubby have been having some problems and you all gave very good advice. So, I am taking most of your advice and we are planning a vacation together. So, my next question is... do any of you know a good, but not so expensive, place to stay in Myrtle Beach? Thanks alot!_Tara

Tara, I've heard Myrtle Beach is a wonderful place to vacation. I haven't actually been there but hopefully someone here on the BB can give you some tips on where to stay.

i have always had luck w/ and

my hubby and I are going to gatlinburg, tn for the 4th of July and the hotels in that area were outrageous! we went w/ hotwire and found a room at a very posh hotel for $50 a night. the reason that the price is so low is that they don't tell you what hotel you are staying at until after you pay. you pick the level (ie 3 stars, 4 stars) and where and then they will give you the prices and tell you what ammenities are available at each hotel. Hope this helps, have fun on your trip!

Tara, i would also advise that you make this vaca as stress-free as possible, like plan what you want to do, where you want to go, ahead of time. Vacations and road trips are the main times that my hubby and I can be at each other's throats. Maybe its the enclosed space, maybe that we have different styles of vacationing. I like to have everything planned, with iteneraries, tickets already purchased, etc. My hubby is more of a do it when you get there, don't worry, be happy, do things when you feel like it, or don't for that matter! I'm really glad to see that you are trying to do something romantic w/ your hubby, Myrtle Beach is great, you will love it!

Funny, I'd say don't plan . .. .just go with the flow. Sometimes the side trips are the most fun. Relax, let go of expectations . .. surprise yourself.

    Have Fun!!

I guess it depends on the personality. I'm stressed if things aren't planned out, but my hubby gets stressed if he feels the vacation is too structured! We manage though (well, most of the time! )
