OK - asking for spoilers here. I missed the ENTIRE season. Last I knew, Angel and company were going to work at Wolfram and Hart. I was the biggest Buffy fan right til the end (just got season 6 on DVD ) but Angel jumped the shark about season 2-3. Any way I might get a quick synopsis? Is Angel cancelled?

I read an interview with Joss Whedon and he said that he left it hanging for
    1. in case they want to do a movie later. and
    2. because Angel is about atonement and that Angel's battle would never end, because basically, no matter how hard he fights, he will never find the redemption he is looking for. which makes sense.....but

I still wanted a real ending.

I don't know what kind of ending I would like, but because I never watched Angel until after Buffy was finished I am a total Spike fan, so end it however you like....Just don't kill Spike again.

    In a nutshell:

    1. Spike joined the cast, first as a ghost , then as a vampire again.
    2. Gunn becomes a super lawyer, courtesy of wolfram and hart.
    3. Cordelia comes back for one episode....not going to tell you why because it as a must watch episode.
    4. Fred dies and her body is taken over by Illyria, an ancient God, right after she and wesley profess their love of course.
    5. Angel and Spike go to Rome to look for Buffy, who they never find , of couse because they couldn't work it out for Sarah michelle gelher to be on the show.
    6. The last episode they go to fight all of the worst evil, an episode in which Wesley dies in "fred's" (you would just have to see it) arms. It ends however with Angel, Spike, Illyria and gunn walking into the fight. End Of the Series.

Oh yea, Harmony, from Buffy, is Angel's secretary.

I am still trying to convince my Hubby as to why we NEED to spend $70 on Buffy, he just doesn't understand even though we have the other 5

Wow! I gotta check it out - soulnds like I missed a LOT. Thanks for the abbreviated version .

Oh, and season 6 of Buffy only ran me $45 yesterday at Target locally here in the great midwest - is it really $70 where you are?

Yeah the Buffy episodes are about $45 in Jersey too ... This season of Angel wasn't too bad, it was alot of stand alone episodes with various common threads, I thought the one in which Connor comes back was good ... As for Wesley's death ... I'm sure if he was needed for a movie they'd ressurrect him somehow (perhaps his real main squeeze would pop in for the job as Willow)... the end makes Gunn look like he's dusted but Illyria likes the way he looks so who knows.

Spike deserves a venue, perhaps he can be the one who becomes a real boy... perhaps Connor can get in on the fun as a spin off for the teenie boppers... mild mannered Connor by day, kick butt demon slayer by night (oh wait that sounds like Buffy)

I'm sorry I missed the puppet episode, power went out and it didn't tape... but Ratched, you missed a couple of good episodes, if they rerun them set your VCR

You know, I never even checked the price. I just assumed because when I went to buy the other seasons, that's how much they were each, so I bought them on ebay for about $150 for all. Well, you know what they say about assuming.

The only episode that I missed this season on Angel was the Halloween Party episode. You do have to see the puppet episode, it was very funny. I don't know when they will play it though, because the WB is so bad about showing other things rather than summer reruns...we will see, I guess.

That's true about Wesley, I mean , Honestly, how many of the Buffy/Angel characters haven't been dead at one time or another.
I agree about Spike. I read an interview with David Boreanaz(Angel), and he says he has no interest in doing a movie and that he is finished with Angel. If that is true, then they may center it around Spike. From what I hear James Marsters loves the Spike character, and would probably be open to whatever.

There were rumors at the first of the season that if Elisa Dushku's(sp?) show "Tru Calling" didn't work, they were going to try to get her to do "Faith the Vampire Slayer"....I have mixed feelings about that one.

Joss Whedon has said that he is going to keep Buffyverse going, even if it is only in comic books. I hate that I really don't read comic books.

It frightens me how much energy I put into these 2 TV shows!!!!

I know about the energy part, I wonder about myself at times, I just love to watch preternatural sci fi/fantasy shows and read the preternatural books, I've always been a fan of this genre and there are so few programs that survive as long as both Buffy and Angel, I think Wolf Lake lasted about 5 or 6 episodes, the other I remember was Forever Knight which did well. As for me I can only hope but in the meantime I have Laurel K Hamilton and a few others who write books to feed my addiction.

Actually I think Eliza Dushku would make a great Anita Blake (from the L.k. Hamilton book series)
