I hold much gratitude for a great many things. . .
There are a few that stand out for this year, though.
1) Having my mother spend her last few weeks of life with us. Without a doubt, it was an emotional time. But spending time with my mother from when she could still enjoy even the smallest things that life have to offer to when her spirit was leaving her body was precious beyond words. I miss my mother terribly, but I hold not regrets and I hold many precious, precious loving memories of her.
2) My wife, Amy. This year, especially, was full of new and expected milestones in life. Caring for an ill parent was one big one. Another was celebrating my wife's 50th Birthday together which was close to the time when we celebrated our 27th year of marriage together. During our vacation in Sedona, this year, we did a lot of reminiscing of all of the trials and tribulation we've experienced together. There was lots of adventure including music productions, college, career changes, attempting to make children, living life without children, caring for ill family members, buying houses, taking vacations, lots of romantic times, lots of fun and play, lots of loss of loved ones, lots of music and lots of love. I love my wife dearly.
3) My family and friends. I tend to be a loner, mostly because of the hours I do for work (working the night-shift). Lately, though, I've been appreciating the value of having good relationships with family and making time to establish friendships. My decision to re-re-re-establish my self to this web-site was made, in no small part, for my desire to simply reach out and keep some level of friendship with some fine "internet friends" here. We may all have tendencies, at times in our lives, to be "loners" but I believe that we can find much support, satisfaction, welcomed challenges, opportunities to be supportive, opportunities to be and feel accepted, and opportunities to just simply have fun, laughter and relax when we reach out to valued friends and trusted family members.
4) My hobbies: Music composition and videography. Both bring much satisfaction to me and both are wonderful creative outlets (when I take the time to do them)!
