AMELIE- - good French movie with R rating

  1. I was watching Roger Ebert about six months ago and he named this movie as one of the best foreign language films he had seen in several years. So, I scribbled the title and finally checked the DVD out last night at Blockbuster.
It's that time of year when there is a dearth of new adult movies.

Anyway, it comes with 2 Discs. Lots of extras on DVD.
It is a rated R comedy. Adult situations and humor. It has subtitles. Very entertaining. ..the filmography is great, and great scenery of Paris...everything landmark but the Eiffel Tower.
Lots of indoor shots of Paris apartments and a peek at how the ordinary Parisian lives.
Audrey Tatou and Mathew Kassovitz are in the starring roles.

Just thought I'd pass this along ....Roger was right on the money on this one.

Totally agree - it was very popular here last year when it was realeased in the art houses - but then went to the mainstream -
My daughter put me on to it - l thought it was simply great - left me with a great feeling - get used to the subtitles very quickly

    Thoughly recommend this

I also thought it was good. Saw it at a place that plays alot of independent films. It was good for a change.

Hopefully more Allnurses will see it. It is soooo much MORE than the pathetic movies offerred this summer.
