    This really sux!

No, haven't seen my PCP yet, but going first thing tomorrow. I noticed some bumps, burning, and itching yesterday.. actually on Sun. afternoon, but thought it was from a little caterpiller which had crawled down my neck while I was sitting out back under the apple tree....

Yesterday I started notincing s few little bumps and more itching.. still thought it was from the caterpiller. By last noc, I was REALLY itching along with burning, more bumps spreading.. but still mostly back of neck and right upper shoulder area. This morning reddened patchy areas of bumps, still on same side. Itching and burning would subside, didn't really bother me much during the day as I worked, when I got home I noticed it more. Still spreading.. all down right side of back, shoulder neck, and now even to the right scapula area and near the right armpit as well.

So I guess tomorrow I'll schlepp my shingles to my doc and see about WHASSUP WITH THIS???

I don't GET sick... remember??? I don't TAKE time off from work, remember???

    Sheeeeeeeeeeesh !

And no, my immune system is FINE... and no, I have NOT been stressed... I've been the picture of contentedness out there under my apple tree with my trickling fountain...... :chuckle

Aw, Netters, I feel your pain!! I've had two attacks of these things and they are NOT fun............I count myself fortunate in that both attacks were mild and left no scarring or pain behind, but I did have to take prescription antiviral medication (Famvir) and use cool compresses for a while. Mine didn't hurt or itch so much as they burned........ it was like I'd been scorched right across the middle of my lower back.

Get thee to thy physician ASAP, my friend, and take care!

Thanx, Marla ! No real PAIN to speak of.. lots of itching and now the burning is beginning. If I don't scratch, it will go away for awhile and I don't even notice it. But yeh, I can feel the burning now more than I did a day or two ago. I hear there is an injection out now, but you have to be over 60 to qualify for it? Uh...will 57 work?

Steph.. no pain YET. May still be coming, I do hope not, though.

    Stupid caterpiller.

i've seen enough cases to know it's not always painful.
but still, get a script just in case.
me thinks this is Gods' way of slowing you down for a bit, even if it is only a week.
you DID say you wanted monday off, yes??? :kiss

You want to stay away from pregnant women and immunocompromised folks, though.

Well, the first won't be a problem... but the latter? OY ! I'd venture to say that ALL of my little elderly peeps are immunocompromised !!! :uhoh21:

(Get out the duct tape and rope, we'll tie jnette to a chair and make her rest )

Here's hoping they go away soon (and i won't say the I word, because you know how saying it triggers it).
