A well deserved dip in the river...

  1. ...after working all day. My boys and I spent most of the day working outside. Lots of overdue yardwork and getting stuff ready for camping this coming weekend. The heat was brutal but none of us complained (much).
After all that we all loaded up in Totanka (dog too) and headed down to the river. We stripped down and dove in. The water was cold but Man!, did it ever feel good. Now we are cooled down, relaxing after a good days work and play.
Sometimes I'm so proud of my boys.

    Too kool.

What a rewarding day ! You are truly an example to be followed as a father, Rusty.

Good for you and for your boys !

Hey! Rusty! Did you ever give them their bedroom furniture and stuff back??

They have earned ALL their priviledges back. Even their beds and tv and going outside for play.

You sound like a wonderful father. Such wonderful use of discipline. I wish my parents had done discipline that way.

I was out in the yard for three solid hours this afternoon weeding, raking, digging, transplanting, hoeing, and hauling stuff around. So how come I can only exercise for 45 minutes to an hour max??

That must be a clean River! Sounds refreshing!

You should be proud. I hated yard work so much as a kid and complained and whined bitterly. I have no fond memories of dad taking us swimming afterwards.

Rusty...sounds like an awesome day. Nothing better than a good swim after a hard days work!

Because when you're doing something like yardwork...you don't realize you're actually exercising!! I can go out dancing for 5 hours straight...in heels, no less...but I can only take the treadmill for half an hour! :chuckle
