<points above your avatat> Easter's over and Mother's Day is a week away I agree, though..
    everyday should be Mother's Day.

My mom is MY heart and soul. I love and admire that woman more than life itself.

    My mom's a card.
81 years old and she calls the other seniors in her community the "oldtimers" and "old farts"... and all in her Austrian accent, no less !

I swear, she thinks she's in her forties .. shes still on stage performing every year in front of a crowd of 7000 in the annual Variety Show, still sings solo performances in her chorus .. (another 2 performances a year)...still flirts like a teenager and has just recently found herself a boyfriend ! Flys back to Germany and Vienna every summer, and still refuses to wear those "old lady shoes!" So she limps around in her sandals with no support, but she's happy..

You can't keep that woman down ! Thinks she's the fountain of youth ! She'll outlive me, and when she does, she spit out her little "isn't dat somesing!"

My mom is one incredible woman......a single parent to me after a divorce with the help of her parents helped me turn out okay and inspired me to excel at everything I do and taught me no matter how hard, keep at it. She also shared her great faith with me. She is now on the road to recovery after ovarian/uterine CA and I consider myself blessed for each and every day I get with her.

Thank you for a wonderful post. I, too, am so fortunate to still have my mother and count myself proud and lucky to resemble her both in appearance and personality. I'm going to call her now.

My mom is incredible. She was 90 on her last birthday, and today, she walked to church, and REFUSED to let anyone give her a ride home!

She has very limited eyesight due to macular degeneration, and I'm always scared she's going to trip over something and break a bone. Yeah, she uses a white cane, which helps. I wish she would let people help her more, but still, I admire her courage!
