Well they can send him off with a saint's sacraments, but as my husband would say,"There's a front row seat in hell for people like that." Those cardinals and the Pope can say for him whatever grand words they wish, and may have somehow convinced themselves in their 'pure' little hearts and minds that these rites are right, but I don't believe God will be fooled.
Bernard Law will come face to face with his Maker, Who knows and sees the real man complete with all of his numerous decisions that only hid the real truths, and did nothing to help or change anything in those regards...well, I don't think there are any explanations or justifications that will buy him one whit of mercy.
And that is as it should be.

Even though I personally like Pope Francis, the child sex abuse scandal, along with the harm that the Catholic Church did to Ireland for many, many years is why I have no use whatsoever for any kind of organized religion.
They ALL have histories of abusing women and children.
Nothing to celebrate.

You know who else gets express tickets to hell?
Politicians who neglect children's health care to give wealthy people tax cuts.

Almost every seat in Hell is in the front row. It's a B-I-G place!
