    MAKE THE PIE HIGHER

I think we all agree, the past is over.
This is still a dangerous world.
It's a world of madmen and uncertainty
    And potential mental losses.

    Rarely is the question asked
    Is our children learning?
Will the highways of the Internet
    Become more few?

How many hands have I shaked?
    They misunderestimate me.
I am a pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity.

I know that the human being
    And the fish can coexist.
Families is where our nation finds hope,
    Where our wings take dream.

    Put food on your family!
    Knock down the tollbooth!
    Vulcanize society!
    Make the pie higher!
    Make the pie higher!

(Pass this on. Help cure Mad Cowboy Disease in the next election.)

I love "misunderestimate" me . . . . I think there is actually a book by that name where someone goodnaturedly uses that title and writes a supportive book of the prez.

Where is the poem of Kerry's gaffs?

    Or mine for that matter . . . . . :chuckle

My personal favorite is the very first line. Yes, no matter our political or philosophical differences, I think it is very safe to say that we all do believe the past is over!

IS the past over? Or does history keep repeating itself for us fools who are condemned to repeat it out of our ignorance and/or arrogance?

Lol...funny. My newest favorite quote is the "Marine is shorthand for 'Can do'." I was like, "Huh?" I'm not his biggest fan, but it is kind of endearing when he says things like that.

I've said it before: anyone who talks for a living, basically, is going to make a LOT of verbal mistakes. GWB's "murderation" of the English language is a hoot.......I wish I could forgive his policies as easily. :stone

Spoken like a true politician. I'm in TOTAL agreement with Deb.

Many older posters have heard or read great speeches made by so many of our former President's. I think it is fair to say, GW does not have a speech of distinction in his past. I can't see one in the future either. But, he gives me such a headache I try not to listen too often. :smackingf
