  1. i think a chat room is better. we don't have to wait for post replies, since we're typically a GO-GO-GO-people.

    Hi

Do you know where there are any chat rooms that are nursing oriented?

    Sounds like fun to me

Yes, there is!!! Once a week we meet at www.GreatNurse.com to talk about nursing issues or exchange knowledge, but the chat room is already set up so there is no reason why we can't all meet just to talk and hang out! If we can agree on a day/time for a "fun" nurses chat then all we have to do is meet there and the fun begins! Just make sure your suggestions for a time is in Eastern Standard Time, so other people can "translate" it to their own local time.

For those interested in the weekly Nurses Chat Forums, they have been going since February this year and have an attendance (so far) from Australia, NZ, US and Canada. They are held every Tuesday 8pm EST (Wednesday 1am GMT, Wednesday 11am Sydney time). The chat forums are currently on break until April 24. We will be having a guest speaker then.

Hope you all had a happy Easter!

I'll look into setting up a chat room on allnurses.com this week, sounds like there is a good amount of interest.

I cannot agree with this more. I got on AOL for the first time to find a chatroom concerning nurses/nursing profession. Well, no such thing there to be found. It would be great to chat realtime vs. leaving messages like this one.

I like the chat room. Thanks a bunch. No one else was there but I am sure more will find it and like it also. Hope it catches on

I like the chat room. I asked the net admin CAJ to consider adding colors for texts to liven it up. I think it will be great tho, nice to chat with other colleagues in real time.

While I was hesitant on this idea at first, after going in the room it was fun. It seems like a neat idea. I have onlly been in there twice, where there seemed to be people talking. Hopefully some more people will be invloved, it's fun. We'll see.....I'm not getting my hopes up, that tends to be my downfall.
