Hell, the hijacked plane from Newark crashed 3 miles from my mother's house in a tiny rural Pennsylvania town. She felt her whole house shake and thought it had been hit by a truck. THANK GOD I had talked to her before the story hit the news and knew she was alright and knew that I had spoken with her AFTER the plane crash.

My children are shocked to pieces that it came so close to home...I have reassured them that coming so close to us was accidental and will not (lord, lord!) happen again.

My wife just told me that the News showed the airline's path from Boston to NYC. It practically flew over our little town that we live in!! Our town borders along side the Hudson River, which apparently was near the route the airline took as it flew south towards it's fatal destination in NYC.

Also found out that my friend's girlfriend works in a building just a few blocks away from the World Trade Center. Thank God she and my friend are O. K.! However, she witnessed the horror (like so many people did) when the second jet hit the building.

I pray for the victoms and family . . . for everyone, I pray for a peace of heart as we struggle to come to grips with this sensless deed.

Barb, I've read your posts. I feel so helpless. Will be giving blood and am urging all I know to do so too.

Prayers are ascending by the minute...

Thank God Barb you are ok! I have been praying for you, and hoped I would see a post on the board from you. God grant you the strength to see you through the following days. May God hold you in the palm of his hand. And remember we are all thinking of you.
