4th of July Thank You to our Troops and a difficult job

  1. Lots of good 4th of July articles out there . . . I found this one quite moving for how complicated and tough a situation our troops find themselves in and how well they do in spite of it. So, I'm saying a big THANK YOU.

Read if interested . ..otherwise, move on to the next thread.
    Happy 4th!

Since the beginning of mankind, wars have been fought, many people died...both innocent and guilty. I tend to look at Evil vs. Good instead of one country against another.

Wars will always be with us. They are never going to go away. There are many types of war, but the wars men and women around the world fight in....regardless of where they live....are still wars of "whose way is right, and whose way is wrong". Conflict reigns because it seems easier to fight than resolve conflict peacefully. Everyone's afraid of "losing something or someone precious to them" in every war mankind has ever fought in.

Hats off and high salutes to every man and woman who has ever fought a cause of good for all mankind........in every branch of military service.

I can go with that ! Whether for the good of all mankind or for just ONE.. every person counts, as does every deed done in the greater cause of good. Military or not.

And yes, to our troops.. regardless of our feelings on the "war" itself.. to them I salute and say " Here's to you ! Hold dear what is good and pure, and right, and do only that which can be seen in the light !"

    HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY !

"And through it all the American soldier is asked to do what no others could do-and yet does so with grace under fire. On July 4th we should remember all this and the rare breed who, thank God, are on our side."

I felt compelled to copy this last paragraph from the article !

    Thanks again Steph !
