2003 - What do you want MOST from the New Year?

  1. Okay, we've done what we want to do as far as resolutions for the upcoming year, but what do you REALLY want to see or happen for yourself in the upcoming year?

For me, I want to build a second layer of financial security. Not just the savings, college fund for Emma and 401K, I want a serious "rainy day" fund - like 3 months salary in addition to the other accounts.

I'd wish to meet a great guy and have a wonderful relationship, but that would be like wishing for world peace. Ain't gonna happen.

What would you like to see come to fruition for you in 2003?

Much too negative LasVegasRN!!!! New Year, new start, right? Believe me, I'm in the same boat!!!

What I would really like to see is my acceptance into a nursing program next fall and by next year this time, finishing my first semester!

Hey, Vegas, they were my 2 as well! - never know - but the great guy is much more likely to happen for you than world peace, that's for sure.

My greatest wants for the new year is to have my Honey MRSA free and WW to find out and have fixed her health problem. Other than that, my daughter's wedding to be perfect. After that I'll be happy with whatever the dear Lord blesses me with.

I'd like to concentrate more on family life.
I know world peace is a big order but it would be nice if the USA wasn't going around picking fights.

World peace is perhaps too great a wish, but I wish 2003 would see no wars -- anywhere. Particularly between the US and Iraq. I lost my fiance in The Vietnam War almost 35 years ago; and my oldest son went through all 8 months of The Gulf War. I have a friend who spent three tours in Vietnam, and now his son is set to deploy for Iraq.

No man should have to lose his innocence -- or his limbs -- or his eyesight -- or his mind -- or his life in war. Every soldier on each side is someone's husband/wife and/or father/mother and/or son/daughter and/or brother/sister. And their 'loved ones' waiting for them to return shouldn't have to 'sit and wait' with their hearts aching.

If it would do any good, I would trade my life for one year of the absence of war throughout the world.

I'd like a lot less excitement this year.

Just like to keep the same job, save the $$ and learn how to be a better nurse, on the professional side.

Personal side?? Hmmmm......lose weight, get fit, redecorate house...
