1025 anti-war protestors arrested in San Fransico

  1. and according to the Police Chief the war protests turned into total anarchy. 2 police officers have been injured, the protesters are throwing rocks and bottles at the officers.
Earlier also protestors shut down Michigan Ave in Chicago. For those not familiar with Chicago it is the main Ave that runs along Lake Michigan. Hope no ambulances had to be diverted to get to the hospital(can't remember the name of it) that is only a few blocks off Michigan Ave.
Protestors have every right to make their views known. However it does the cause a great deal of disservice to throw rocks and bottles at the police, and please stay on the sidewalks and not block roads that are needed for emergency services.
Oh, the French in Paris have demolished a McDonalds.

Geesh, poor Ronald! How will they get ''freedom fries'' now?...Personally, l think violent riots are primarily ppl looking for a fight rather than supporting a cause.

Geesh..our country is on "high alert" and unfortunately state and local police will be busy arresting protesters should anything major happen in the US some officers won't be available to answer the call.

    is anyone surprised here?

Yes, these protesters want peace and non-violence. What hypocrites!

Excellent point, Marie. The Golden Gate Bridge blows up while the police are busy arresting peaceful protesters. Meanwhile our troops are fighting in the desert to ensure the protester's right to disrupt our homeland! Gotta love it.

    I agree.
Me too. They're holding up traffic, wasting the police's time, and just making themselves a big annoyance. And all this is accomplishing what? If something happens and the police are busy dealing with these idiots, whose fault will it be?

    Excellent point, Marie!

Obviously, these folks aren't using the brains they were supposedly born with in order to think of a peaceful way to protest the war. It figures.

Gotta LOVE that "Freedom of Speech thing" and how some will stretch it to proportions that are hardly recognizable, huh? My friend in SF who must cross that bridge each day to work is NOT amused. Nor am I.

Next thing you know, an upcoming rally will be titled, "Violence Protestors for Peace!" by a group whose motto is "If Bush can use violence to obtain peace, so can we!"

I hate hipocrites - both individually, and in groups.

edited to add- What the h**l are they hoping to accomplish? Like the Pentagon is gonna say, "oh look there's more, and they are even more obnoxious- perhaps we should call the whole thing off!"
