"eVERYONE NORTH AND EAST OF PITTSBURGH

  1. tHE Weatherman this morning on CNN said that the northeast 'IS IN FOR A ''PERFECT STORM'' TODAY AND TOMORROW. it seems, according to him, that there is a huge freezing storm blowing UP from wv, ohio, tenn., etc. towards new york and vermont. at the same time, there is a huge storm blowing south and east (from Canada) across the great lakes and into new york and vermont. He said these two storms will converge over new york state and blanket the northeast.

All you BB nurses up there, tell us where you are and describe the conditions over the next two days. Share it with the rest of us if you have a few minutes. It really sounds like a "__________," what's the word you use?
Pittsburgh nurses too, please tell us what you are experiencing.

The rest of us can experience winter vicariously , and this huge winter "perfect storm", but only if you describe it. I would like to know "how bad it is!"

I'm in tn. woke up to about 3 inches of snow. it's untouched and beautiful. the temp is in the teens. best of all, an inservice i was to attend got cancelled!! plus, the flu has hit full force, so we hope with the schools out, that this will help slow the spread of infection.

Reminds me of the blizzards we had in '71 or '72 (My memory's a bit blurred there) when we lived in Oswego...the hill at Hamilton Homes was great for sledding! I was wishing for that hill last week when I took my 5 year-old sledding. Ah, memories!

Ok, now I'm full of questions. Haven't been back there since my father was transferred in '72. What's Hamilton Homes like now? It was clean & pretty nice when I lived there. I imagine that, like all areas, it has seen it's share of changes. I even walked to school by myself in 1st-3rd grade when I lived there.

it is oswego's version of "projects" now...no driveby shootings, but for the most part not a great place to live anymore.( i shouldn't say that, my friend's mom runs it)..but....well...paper thin walls, loud fights, drugs...wine creek apts is too...both have sr apts & low income apts....wine creek still has regular income apts..but i wouldn't wanna live there...i remember when i was growing up when wine creek was like The Place to live....my how times change...Bosco's market is still there, by Hamilton Homes...still one of the 3 best places in town to get meat...(garafolo's and scriba meast being the other 2)...where did your dad work? what other stuff can i update you on? heehee...
