"A whole new sensation in dishwashing!"

  1. What a laugh ! I HAD to share this. I received a 40 cents off coupon in the mail yesterday. It is from the Palmolive Co. The ad is marketing their "new" liquid dishwashing soap. There is a picture of a young woman with an APRON on, smiling real big. The ad says: New AROMA THERAPY
NOW WHEN is the last time you experienced aroma therapy simultaneously while washing the dishes??????????????
The ad further shows two bottles of liquid dishwashing soap. One purple, one green. The purple one is labeled -Aroma Therapy--Lavender and Ylang Ylang Essences-
The green one is labeled - Aroma Therapy--Mandarin and Green TEA Essences-

It also says.... "Choose from two unique SCENTS "depending on your MOOD"

    Depending on your mood?????????????????

Buy both & have them under the sink, then, depending on your mood, ladies, choose which one will give you ''a WHOLE NEW SENSATION IN DISHWASHING !"

Makes you want to dash out right now and purchase some, doesn't it?

I thought this kind of advertising/marketing went out in the 50's.

I hope you females will buy ANYTHING BUT this product.
If we want a Ylang Ylang or Green Tea experience , or an aroma therapy experience, I hope we are all creative enough not to seek it with our hands immersed in a sinkful of dirty dishes!

    The sixties were wasted .

Gee I will have to ask my kids what mood they want to wash the dishes with, that is their job and I do not own a dishwasher and I don't want one.

I don't want to sound sexist but there is something about watching a woman do dishes that I like.
Especially when they are doing that little wiggle when they can't get the egg off the pan.

I don't want to sound sexist but there is something about
watching A MAN do dishes that I LIKE:
Especially when those biceps are bulging when they can't
get the egg off the pan.
No fanny wiggle here, 'cause they've got the bicep muscles for
the task. They don't have to use the whole body force -"wiggle"-to scrape
eggs off skillets. (you'd think they might think of buying a non-stick omelet skillet)

And the macho way they manhandle that garbage bag.
And the cute little round bottom when they squat to pick up
    the dog's dish to wash.
And the long line of their musculature backs when they are stretching up to put the bowls away on the top shelf.

I wonder if Palmolive will make some dishwashing liquid in spice or musk AROMA's, so you guys can have an AROMA THERAPY experience while standing over the sink full of dirty pots and pans.
Yes, a mans' place is definitely in the kitchen, I really like the way they look.

Anybody just see the scene from "Chocolat" in their mind?? Hehehehe!

The only "mood" I'm ever in when washing the dishes is "How come I'm always the one doing this? Am I the only one who uses these dishes?" For that very reason we own only non-stick pans! AND a dishwasher that doesn't require "rinsing first"!

If something is stuck on a dish it gets "soaked" for as long as necessary - I hate to scrub!

I am using the purple one now and must admit is smells very good. Doesn't make me enjoy doing the dishes though.

The only "mood" I feel in when I have to do dishes is the ticked off mood because I wonder why with 3 teenage daughters in the house I have to do the dishes anyhow...when I had been sleeping all day because I work night shift and they have all been keeping the phone, stereo and playstation warm and in working condition!
