Guilty! Addicted since the first show!

I think it's the "bad boy" aspect of the show that has me hooked. I'm always rooting for Mackey to keep from getting caught, even though he's involved with a lot of illegal activities.

And, I think that all of us want to see criminals get the crap beat out of them! I know I was glad when he started beating that drug dealer with a large book, especially because he was the one who raped that little girl. Burning his face on the stove top was pretty gross though. (He went a little too far there!)

That's the ONLY show I will schedule things around. I watched the series premier out of currosity and was hooked from the get go, and I usually HATE cop shows.

I am LOVING watching Mackey's descent into madness, wondering how much farther he can go. I'm half expecting Shane to get taken out by someone, hell maybe Mackey.

I hope they go back to the elements of Dutch's near breakdown in the season finale and (can't remeber his name, the Rookie)'s conflicts with his sexuality. I also hope we learn a bit more about the female street cop. I think Tuesday's show should reveal a bit more about her character since she had to kill a suspect.

Yep, it's awesome...I don't think there's a character I don't like! I taped it for someone last season since they didn't have cable and ended up hooked!

I saw the first season is on DVD now, now that would be a nice way to spend an entire day

Actually, I think some of Mackey's ideas aren't all that bad. He knows that NOTHING he can do will stop the drug trade in his district. He knows that gang wars are bad for everyone. By controlling the dealing in the area, he cuts the bloodshed.

Granted, his other activities, such as making money from this deal, etc are a no-no. And his killing of the cop in the series premier was WAY over the line.

Although now that he's losing his mind a bit, he's definately crossing the line. It won't be long before Aseveda (spelled?) will have to tighten the leash.

The face burning on the stove got to me real bad..had me literally squirming in my seat. Other than Mackey, I think my fave character is the female detective (can't remember her name..Dutch's partner)...she is AWESOME. Classy, smart, tough, smart, honest..she's my idol. I can't stand Shane, don't know if it's his looks or his character, but I just don't like him.

I'm trying to remember back to last season..what happened to that police commissioner? He's in prision, right? Where the heck is his replacement? This new chick, the investigator from city hall, I like her too...i bet she's not going to be a temporary character. Also, didn't they change one of Mackey's partners this season? That one guy isn't familiar to me.

The guy cop, dealing with the sexuality prob..HE asked a chick out the other night!!!

I just can't believe how awesome this show is!!! I hate to see the season start again, because I start living Tuesday to Tuesday. I have NEVER loved a show like this <"Hello, my name is tracy and I was a decent mom before I became addicted to Mackey..">.
well, and then there's the allnurses addiction

I know, the face burning thing was just nasty. Did you see when he lifted his face off it looked like the skin stuck to the burner? Uck, too realistic.

I like the female detective too, can't remember her name either. In real life it's weird, CCH something. I've wondered how it is pronounced. But her character is just awesome!

They didn't show what happened to the chief, did they? If they did, I don't remember.

And the investigator chick, looks like she's got a problem with bulemia. Wonder where they're going with that?

I just love this show, and it's great to have people to talk about it with! I don't know anyone else who watches it, or at least admits to it!

The guy you're thinking of wasn't in the chain of command per se, IIRC. He and Mackey had a past together which is why he covered for him. Mackey's special squad was his idea.

As far as "that other guy" in Mackey's squad, he's been there all along but he just doesn't get much screen time. Yeah, I hate Shane too... like you, I can't put my finger on why.

The cable channell FX, on Tuesdays at 10, and an encore at 11. I think it might also be played on the weekend late at night.

It comes on Tuesday nights @9CST, and then the later encore..

also comes on Sunday nights..I think it's 9CST again.

You know, I didn't catch the bulemia thing (stupid me)..I thought she was sick because she didn't have the stomach to handle what she'd seen at the crime scene. Did they show her vomiting more than once??

Oops, I guess the times I listed are EST.

I thought about the bulemia because when they were investigating the meter maid shooting and were at another station, she asked to use the restroom, then when she came out she sprayed some breath freshener in her mouth. Then when Dutch was eating (not sure what, cake maybe? He said it was homemade.....) and asked her if she wanted some, she at first said no. But she looked like she wanted it, kept looking at it, then gave in and started eating it with him. When he left she continued eating, and I had the impression she wasn't going to stop! Then the part where she was getting sick in the bathroom. Just my opinion though, because I'm not sure how they would use it in the show. Just seemed to all fit together.
