?? About graduation gifts

  1. I am new here but won't waste time with an intro unless you really want one, lol.

I have a nursing graduation to go to in the next few weeks and would like some suggestions on gifts. What is the best gift you received when you graduated from nursing school. Something meaningful, but doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Any suggestions you have will be appreciated. Thanks for your time and help.

    Hi Celeste.

On another thread like this, a member posted that someone gave them a sterling charm bracelet w/ some nursing themed sterling charms.

You can add more charms in the future to the bracelet on special occasions.

My MIL gave me a sterling nurse's cap charm, and a sterling graduation diploma charm (which I had engraved with "RN/AAS/Nursing/2000"). I put these on a braclet I already had, and I really like them.

There are nursing related charms and charm bracelts on eBay.

Anything that can be engraved with the new title on it. Like an engravable ink pen with Jane Doe, R.N. or a brass name plate to pin on your scrub jacket. My mother got me a white lab coat after I graduated with my name and title over the breast pocket. I really liked it.

I can honestly say the most memorable things I received were messages in the cards of congratulations. Words can mean so much - make sure and let the person know how proud you are of them .
