My hair is my last vanity.
It's the only thing about me that doesn't scream my age.
    Straight and brown.
Maybe I should dye it blue so it looks like the rest of me.

    You're BLUE? Physically or emotionally?
I also have long, straight brown hair.....and have also felt blue a lot. But, hurray for Paxil, because now blue is only my favorite color and not a way of traveling.

I'm showing my age even more. I used to call LOLs who dyed their hair that peculiar shade of "gray", blue hairs.
Is the term "blue hairs" a colloquialism?

I meant I should dye my brown hair blue to match the rest of me.
The rest of me is old, my hair should be too.

Here, we call old folks from further south "Florida Bluehairs"

I just dyed my hair, again. Now a brilliant shade of red. I prefer a more blonde red but this time it turned out to look like my temper has been feeling lately. I know it will wash out and calm down. I have lots of gray under the red, I just don't look good gray, I look washed out and old. I still have my sagging skin and wrinkles but I like being colorful.

I'm a natural blonde. My hair will not hold color unless it is blonde. I thought I saw a white hair the other day and just about freaked out. Lol. I've tried darker for fall, and a little red for summer and my hair just does not hold any type of color unless it is blonde. I know tons of people would love to be in my shoes but I long for having some darker hair sometimes. Plus my hair is short, naturally wavy. I would like it to pick a side. Either curly or straight. I guess we all want what we can't have.

I used to be light blond, over the years progressively darker blond, with a bit of grey at the temples; now it is black stubble, where there is any. Be very curious to see what comes in after the chemo is finished!

Dark brown, and I just cut about 7 inches off this weekend to get that cute Emma Stone bob. I wanted it more graduated, with the front longer, oh well, next time.
    S'cute.
The only one not crazy about it is my hubby, who likes my hair long. Too bad for him.
I used to get highlights, but I prefer the dark. My eyes are really light brown, so I like the contrast.

This is an older thread . . not sure if I posted before and not gonna go look.

I was a towhead as a kid and got that darker blonde as an adult. Highlights started in the 1980's. I'm still doing that but now I have to color it and highlight it because I'm gray~

Actually, I don't do it. A professional hairdresser does it. And she's awesome. So, right now it is a couple of inches lower than my ears with layers on the ends. And my gray roots are showing . . my appointment is tomorrow!

I'm now into "plopping" my shoulder length curly hair. It involves using a co-wash (conditioning wash) and styling products with no sulfates or silicones. I wrap my wet hair in a t-shirt and sleep that way. In the morning-frizz free curls. No more fighting what Mother Nature gave me!

Dark brown right now, but I'm dying it black soon.

And my hair is finally long. I'm so happy!
