Well I think my arteries just clogged up a bit reading that, so I may as well read on. Darn you for making deep fried bacon sound good!

I had deep fried Smores at the OK state fair last year. I attend fairs for the food. Urban hunting ground.
Gosh yes, state fairs are the home of any and everything deep fried! The Minnesota State Fair has the best deep fried pickles. They take two big pickle chips, sandwich in some cream cheese then coat and fry it. Absolutely yummy and I've never seen deep fried pickles done the same way anywhere else.

    I didn't even use a colorful adjective.
    Deep fried bacon stands alone.

Dinner tonight. I just got home from happy hour. I am going to grill a cheeseburger. I am topping it with melted cheddar, garden tomato and garden lettuce.
    Jealous?

I'm so sad that you can't have a garden.

I could, but not this time of year. You know what grows amazingly well here? Zucchini. I tried tomatoes, they dried up before they ripened. I can get bell peppers going okay, they don't get very big though. I do have a baby avocado tree and we're thinking about getting some citrus trees. A neighbor has an apricot tree.

Frozen cheesecake wrapped in raw puff pastry then quickly deep fried, dusted with cinnamon sugar, and served with vanilla ice cream. And what the fruit snacks is deep fried bacon ? Oh nevermind.

I have heard an urban legend about deep fried butter, but I can't verify it.
That, I think, is going a bit far.

    I'm sitting here eating watermelon with salt . . . .

I had deep-fried pickles for the first time in Texas last week. First at Chili's . . . . .kinda boring. Then at a Texas BBQ place - very good!

Let's see . . . I think my favorite meal is veggies sautéed in olive oil . . . you know, mushrooms, zucs, onion, kale . . . and then sprinkled with grated parmesan.

Watermelon soaked in tequila then dipped in salt.
    Or is alcohol not allowed?

I just bought 3 racks of baby backs to smoke for my dad for Father's Day.
