Good Morning -
Tonight I return to work after being away for a little more than 2 weeks. I'm trying to remember what it is that I do. It has something to do with something, and whatever it is that I do involves a whole lot of computerized documentation. Oh well. I'll figure it all out when I return there. LOL!
Amy just left to begin her first day back at work. She's all ready to go (as I am, too).
Didn't get a whole lot of stuff done, yesterday. Paid some bills; loaded all of the photo and video files onto my main computer; petted our two "canine family members"; looked outside and enjoyed all of the colors on the trees. Fall is here and we returned just in time to enjoy its full glory. Our plan is to do a nice fall hike this Sunday to enjoy the scenery. I'd do the hike earlier but I have a wedding that I'm video-taping which will require a fair amount of my time and attention both Friday and Saturday. When I'm done here, I'm going to get my audio and video equipment ready for this wedding.
EMSnut45 - I see that you use the "Q", too! In our small, teeny-tiny hospital (with its 3 bed ICU), we can have a small stretch of days of "Q". Then BANG
! All "Q" had gone away!!! I'd rather have the work be steady, I guess. The night staff, especially, works well during those "BANG!" times. We have to work well together. But that "bang" can happen anywhere: the ICU, the med/surg floor, maternity, the ER. Often times, that "BANG!" happens in the ER and, when able, all go down to help quell the craziness.
aknottedyarn - I read your update on FB. I sincerely hope that your SO is off the vent soon and continues his recovery. Glad to read that you're getting some much-needed rest. It was interesting reading about "Family Promise". It's nice to read that your son is rightly proud of his mother.
"Family Promise" seems like a nice service to the community (if I understand it correctly).
Joe - Your three-day weekend sounds nice. Seems like you have plenty of chores to do to fill it up. Hope you take some time and enjoy the fall weather.
Sabby_NC - I had to put the heat on in our home this morning, too. The fall air, here, is a bit chilly. Hope your workday goes well with your preceptee. I have not doubt that he or she is in good hands.
Got to go and eat some breakfast. Peace to all who travel here. Oh. . . here's one picture taken on top of Bear Mountain.
