- 5Feb 26 by Sabby_NC, BSN, RNGood Morning to you all,
Woke up at 2:45 and could not settle myself back into a good sleep so I got up, have been pottering around and snuggling with dogs.
Will be a long day but a good one none the less with at least 4 visits and a funeral to attend. I sure will miss this patient but I want to be there to support the family.
Had an awesome day yesterday although busy got a heap achieved as well as chatting to an MD at the end of the day about one of our patients. Yep a good one indeed.
Enjoyed playing with the dogs when I got home, had supper already for hubby to nosh down on and then relaxed for the evening. Enjoyed reading more of my murder- who dunnit book. LOL
Have been thinking about what to do this weekend other than hiking with the dogs, we may head to the mountains for a drive and find this new trail we are wanting to hike on so that sounds like a good plan right there. LOL
Hope you are all doing well this day, make the most out of your day no matter what you get up to.
Life is precious make the time you have between your birth and death count for something ok? Get out there and make memories, leave your mark on something.
I guess I am feeling philosophical this morning.
Take care and smile it does the soul good and it rubs off on other people.
Catch you all on the flip side of today- Much love to you all.

Sabby_NC - You've been awake for awhile! Sleep is over rated. Ain't it?? You seem cheery despite the lack of sleep. Your overall cheery disposition is one of the things that I admire about you. Me? When I experience lack of sleep, I get grumpy! LOL!
Got some music written yesterday. The composition progressed 12 more measures. Got about 2 to 3 minutes worth of music still to write and sequence (record). Much of that is "recapitulation", though. So, I'm on the home-stretch with this piece.
Tonight is the first of three nights of work. Won't be doing much except the usual "sleep, eat, work" thing. Amy is studying for her OR certification. (I don't know if I've mentioned that yet, or not! LOL!). For the past several weeks Amy has been faithfully studying and taking practice tests. She takes the actual OR Certification test this coming Friday. If recent practice exams tell anything, Amy will be an OR Certified Nurse.
Time for First Coffee. . . Hope all have a pleasant day today!

- 6Feb 26 by Joe NightingMaleMorning Sabby, I hope you sleep better tonight.
Another busy day yesterday, a little frustrating but it was manageable and I got everything done that I needed to. I think the pace is slowing down, I hope this trend continues at least for a while.
Nothing else really of note yesterday. Still very cold. Will do the laundry today. Dad leaves for Florida today so I have to remember to stop at his house sometime in the next few days.
- 6Feb 26 by aknottedyarnGood morning Sabby, Ted, Joe, Davey (I see you), and all who pop in today.
Work went by quickly yesterday as I learned more about the computer programs they use. In many ways like learning EMR as it seems they find the most complex ways to do things. I am glad I have a background in other programs.
Ted, please congratulate Amy for me when that cert comes through, as I am sure it will be a breeze for her, after all the studying. Good on you for getting more written.
Sabby, Nice reminder to make a difference. Imagine the possibilities.
Well, did not get to all the shopping last night. Life always throws monkey wrenches, fortunately I know people who seem to be able to catch them bare-handed.
Snowing again here. This is very light, but boy is it cold and getting colder. I keep thinking this is the last and then we get another round.
Have a good day.
- 5Feb 26 by Spidey's mom, ADN, BSN, RN GuideMorning!
Woke up early (0530) and decided to stay up and start a new bible study and pray. Lots of stuff to pray about.
It is technically my day off except for my IDT Hospice meeting at 1215. But I might go in and do some school district stuff due to taking yesterday off for Spidey's earache. He does have an infection and started on Augmentin.
Yikes!!! My cell phone alarm just went off at 0630! Didn't expect to hear that and I jumped!
Now that my heart's a-beatin . ... . (Ted) . . . .maybe I won't need more coffee.
We are expecting rain today - it hit 80 degrees in the "big city" yesterday and we were in the 70's.
Hope you all have a good day!
- 6Feb 26 by BCgradnurse GuideGood morning!
It's winter again here, with cold temps and snow flurries. It feels like this will never end, but it has to, right? Last night I fell a$$ over teakettle putting out the trash. I couldn't see the ice in the dark, but that also meant no one could see me fall. My right side is sore and bruised today. I feel a bit like Sabby...LOL. I sent in DD's deposit for college last night. Now it feels real.
Hope all are well today. Ted, pls wish Amy good luck on her exam. AKY-I'm glad the job is going well. Joe-stay warm! Steph-I hope Spidey is feeling better soon. Sabby-I hope you get a better night's sleep tonight.
- 3Feb 26 by Spidey's mom, ADN, BSN, RN GuideArse-over-tea-kettle! I've done that! Glad you weren't hurt worse.
Spidey woke up with his ear hurting. I gave him ibuprofen and he lay on a heating pad while I made him Cream of Wheat. Then he took his antibiotic. He's off to school and fine so far.
I need to get up from this computer and do something constructive.
- 5Feb 26 by herring_RN GuideGood day Sabby, Hope you fell fine today on little sleep. That happens to me sometimes.
Steph; We are predicted to get your rain later today.
I hope with California getting rain temps will go up further east.
Joe: You seem to be doing well with your work. I wish you were able to work at home during the bad weather.
Ted; I'm glad you are writing music. I'm sure it provides enjoyment for many people.
AKY: A new job is never without the stress of adjustment. Add the need to dress for business and that requires time to get into that routine.
BCgradnurse: I truly hope it warms up and spring comes soon.
I didn't have to set an alarm, but still woke up early.
Ive been doing tasks at home and e-mailing my cousins.
