- 4Nov 26, '13 by Sabby_NC, BSN, RNGood Morning My Friends,
Brrrrr sure is a very cold rain out there right now with the rain increasing, I am so pleased I busted butt yesterday and got 8 visits taken care of, threat of 3" of rain plus potential icky weather such as freezing rain. Not sure if we will see that but I only have 4 visits today before IDG.
I will have to leave IDG no later than 3:30P for an MD appointment then grab some dog food on the way home. Will be nice to get home a little earlier that is for sure and I am sure the dogs will be happy.
They did not dilly dally long outside this morning before coming in for their breakfast. I am glad they have nice warm kennels on the porch with pads and warm blankets to keep them happy but it still will not be nice for them.
Hope you are all doing well and for those out traveling please be safe in this mess a lot of us are going to experience today.
Much love to you all.
- 4Nov 26, '13 by Joe NightingMaleMorning Sabby, I hope the weather's not too bad.
Off to another day at work. I thought yesterday was going to be a mess, but I did end up getting everything done that needed to get done. It was difficult and tiring but by the end of the day I even had time for a break, albeit a short one. Today should be less busy.
Was going to do the exercise bike last night but was too tired. Did some grocery shopping instead...I made the mistake of leaving some of the cooking for the week, and I realized I didn't have the time or energy to cook after work. So I got some prepared items for the next few days and will do the cooking over the holiday.
Very much looking forward to having a 4 day weekend, just two more days...
- 5Nov 26, '13 by aknottedyarnGood morning Sabby and Joe, and all who stop by later.
We are in a warming trend, now up to 35*, so we know rain, snow. slush may follow. We had a bit of the white stuff earlier this am, but it is gone now.
Today I will make the cranberry bread and get the rest of the cleaning done. I am going to go pick up some more pastry flour today. Yesterday I got the pie crust made and in the frig.
Still looking for a job and figure I will get one after the holiday. Until then I will be thankful for having friends and family.
Enjoy the day. Be safe.

"Let it snow. . . let it snow. . . let it snow. . . " (Blech!) Got about an inch of the white stuff. Made for a slow and slippery commute home.
Got home safe and sound, though.
Work, last night, was a "Goldie Locks" night, just the way I like it. Off the next couple of nights. Hope to write some music during my time off. Today, in about 1/2 hour, I have to take my two canine family members to their yearly check-up at the vet. They're going to love it!! (NOT!) Can't wait to get that chore done. Hope to catch a little shut-eye when we get back. Nothing is planned for tomorrow except some music writing (if I'm a good boy).
Hope the job-hunting goes well for you, AKY. Curious. What type of job are you looking for? I hope you get the job you want.
Joe - Just two more days until your four day weekend! Yes!! Hope work, today, goes well for you.
Sabby_NC - Looks like you had a busy day, yesterday. Hope the weather is better for you today.
Well. . . got to get the dogs ready for their ride. It's gonna be a chore. LOL!
- 4Nov 26, '13 by Spidey's mom, ADN, BSN, RN GuideMorning all - warmed up to 25 degrees but should hit somewhere in the 50's.
Ever try to type with a bandaide on your pointer fingers? You don't have the sensation to tell if you've hit the keys hard enough. I keep having to go back and re-type. I got cuts on both fingers . . one from the aluminum foil box and the other from tossing firewood into the furnace.
Off call Been on since Friday at 3 p.m. (A little early so the other nurse could make her hair appt.). I saw 4 patients yesterday - we split them up and so my day was pretty easy.
Will focus on getting ready for our trip to see our son and daughter-in-law for Thanksgiving. Her parents are coming too.
Spidey plans to make a carrot cake - his choice. Also wants his brother to take him snow-board shopping. I really wish he'd stay with skiing like his other brother. Oldest brother and sister switched to snowboarding a while back. All my kids are really good. The one who is still skiing is a daredevil.
Rex wanted out at 6 a.m. He attacks the bowl of food . . so funny to watch him inhale his meals. He's out running around the yard and barking at cars.
I did get one call out last night but nothing serious.
Today is my Friday - I'll have 5 days off. Yippee.
