- 3Nov 16, '13 by Sabby_NC, BSN, RNGood Morning To You All,
Come on wake up and greet the day with some enthusiasm. LOL I woke up way too early for a Saturday but here I sit with my cup of tea and computer before me.
Had an awesome day, enjoyed precious times with my patients and learnt things about some of them I did not know, amazing when you take the time what conversations come up. My last home I had the best 2 hour church service ever, my heart was swollen by the time I left there.
Came home to my usual Friday night ritual in getting the house clean and in order, which really does not take too long. Only have a little ironing to get out of the way today and as soon as the hot cup of tea has reached my tummy I shall toss on some clothes and get the shopping out of the way.
Had a lovely relaxing Jacuzzi last night with hubs, we kicked back and chatted about the vacations we have had that really touched our hearts and enjoyed so much then watched a sci fi movie called Elysium which was awesome.
Nice to see some rain out there but I doubt it will put a dampener on our hiking today, I have new boots and I plan to wear them as we take the dogs for a nice hike up the mountain.
Today I shall put a meal in the crockpot for hubby to munch on while I eat some home made soup.
Hope you all have a most excellent and happy Saturday.
Much love to you all.

I actually had a fairly easy day at work yesterday! Only there for the second half of the day, but I got everything done and had time to spare. Turned out to be the best day of the week. The window installation went fine, took less time than I expected. The only problem was the cat who I had to struggle to lock in the bathroom before the workers came. But even that wasn't as bad as I expected.
Stopped for a bottle of wine on the way home and the clerk asked me for my ID. As I took my driver's license out I realized it was going to expire this coming week! So I'm up early so I can get to the driver's license facility when it opens and get the renewal done as soon as possible. Was also going to go biking this morning, which I'll do after the license renewal. The facility isn't far from where I planned to bike so I'll just take my bike with.
Meeting my best friend and my family for lunch today, it's something we've been trying to plan for a long time but only now have been able to arrange. Not much else planned for today, the majority of today will be rainy.
- 4Nov 16, '13 by aknottedyarnGood morning Sabby and Joe and all who pop in.
I went clothes shopping yesterday, one of my least favorite things to do. I had a 30% off at Kohl's and their cc was empty so I went a bit crazy. Now I have two pair of slacks to hem. You know Kohl's, according to them I saved over $200. I never buy anything not on some kind of sale.
No huge plans for the day. I have to return something to Radio Shack and want to stop at a craft show at one of the local churches.
Cloudy today and should be warm. Thinking about the Philly marathon and how nice it will be for them in this weather.
Have a wonderful day.

Sabby, enjoy your hike with your loved ones and your new boots!
Joe, hope the weekend is good, you certainly had a nice Friday to slide into it with!
aky, congrats on the purchases (yes I know what you mean about Kohl's' "you saved $200!" I am suspicious they mark the prices up, then let you THINK they lowered them JUST FOR YOU!! when actually you are paying what they should have been advertised for.... Oh well. Retail sales, I guess).
Going to church today then to a baby shower in the afternoon.
I have to prepare set lists for a gig on Sunday. Eh, it'll get done.
Y'all have a good one!
- 4Nov 16, '13 by Ted, BSN, RNGood Morning -
Recently woke up and currently drinking "first coffee". Had a "Goldie Locks" time at work last night. I'm off tonight and tomorrow night. No special plans for anything today. Tomorrow is church and choir. Afterward we plan on going to my step-brother's birthday party. He's in his early 40s. Should be nice.
Sabby_NC - Reading about you "jacuzzi" time with the husband sounds nice. When Amy and I finished our hikes during this year's Sedona vacation, we ended them with a long and sought-after hot-tube time for the aching muscles. We thought about getting one ourselves except that they seem like too much work to maintain. For now, its best that we enjoy them when we're on our vacations. Seems like you had a nice week and have plans for a nice week-end. Good.
Joe - Glad to read that you had a nice day at work yesterday. Hope your weekend goes well, too. Regarding car license renewals, those things have a nasty habit of sneaking up on you! LOL! Hope all goes well with the renewal process!
aknottedyarn - Just want to say a warm and friendly, "Hello".
Dianah - Hope you have LOTS of fun with tomorrow's gig. It's always good to read about your music group's activities.
Warmest regards to all who travel here. . .
- 3Nov 16, '13 by aknottedyarnPlans blew up. I went to check on neighbor in am before I was going to head out. Instead I called 911 and stayed at the hospital for a while. Suspect she had a seizure. She did not want to stay in hospital so I left when she said I would take care of her. No thank you. She needs care, do it at the hospital. I will care for her dog.
Well, back to taking it easy this weekend.

She is fortunate to have a neighbor like you.
- 2Nov 17, '13 by Spidey's mom, ADN, BSN, RN GuideHi all - writing from my best friend's home down south of where I live. I came to a conference today and am staying until tomorrow. Got treated to a great homemade meal and some wine.
Had a hectic couple of days at work - I was going to go into detail but realized I'm riding too close to the HIPAA line. Suffice it to say it involved child abuse and mandated reporting.
aky - glad you were there for your neighbor but yes, don't add more onto your plate. Dog sitting is doable but not caretaking another person right now.
I'm hoping to fall asleep soon and tomorrow I plan to go purchase a computer. One of the speakers today told us that we shouldn't buy laptops. Just iPads or iPhones. She spent two hours going over all the applications available for medical folks and many others as well. I couldn't help but think . . .when do you find time to spend with your family lady? No matter what an iPad can do, I still want a laptop. And I don't want an iPhone. Nope. Not gonna do it.
Now, let's all keep that insomnia monster away from our homes! Nighty night!
