    i totally agree with you...wise move.

    i had never heard of this young lady until today, and agree, she did an extraordinary job.
    i could have sworn i heard "star spangled banner" being sung today...somewhere...and admittedly, i said to my son, "well, she's no whitney houston".
    did anyone sing ssb today or am i losing my mind...again?

    I don't see what the big deal is.

    Now, if she had gone in saying "I'll sing live" and then lied . . well, I guess there would be a point but really, in the grand scheme of things . .. it ain't a big deal to me.
