Guinness world record

  1. 2 I have been seeing a lot of people post this on facebook:

" The Bachelors of Science Nursing (BSN) degree has been chosen as the toughest degree among all the college degrees by the Guinness Book of World Records on 18 MAY 2011 . It has 64 university exams + 130 series exams + 174 assignments within 4 years (max 1000 working days ). All BS nurses post this on your wall for at least 2 hours and be proud to be a BSN degree holder."

Now I would LOVE to believe this, but I can not seem to find it on the guinness website or when I google it. Im thinking it is another hoax . Does anyone know if this is real or not?

Since when did a BSN have 130 "series" exams? What 'is' a "series" exam? I guess my BSN program wasn't a 'real' BSN!

Looks like its some sort of hoax. I can't find it anywhere on the Guineness website and the only thing that comes up when I do a search is facebook posts etc.

Even when you search the date May 18, 2011 on site, it doesn't show anything even remotely close to it.

I think that it IS probably the toughest regardless of consideration from any organization. And I do not have a BSN!!

Since when is the difficulty of a degree measured by the number of exams one must take to earn the degree? If you are going to try to determine the difficulty of a degree by exams, it is going to be quality, not quantity.

Plus, if I am not mistaken, Guinness does not delve into such subjective "records."

I know that the ADN RN program is challenging with numerous exams and I have heard some professors say that it is more intense then the BSN program, either way, nursing school is vigorous whatever route one takes.

I'm sure the BSN program must be hard- it's university level stuff I've taken university classes ( U of Illinois; got sick and had to leave after just over a semester).... some were challenging- but I expected that

But to surpass nuclear physics, nanotechnology, neurobiology, astrophysics, etc ???????? I'm not buying it
