Happy first of the month to you all.
My goodness me it is freezing cold out there and add the wind into the mix and it is down right miserable. Will make getting around to see my 5 patients interesting for sure.
Had only one call out to visit a patient of mine so that was nice and I was home in a timely manner. Had trouble turning my brain off but finally my peepers decided they were tired.
Plan is to get my visits done then get home to get the pups inside and settle in for the evening. Usual for me is to get the house work taken care of then plan for some cooking on Saturday.
Even though the weekend is going to be cold I really want to get the boys out for some exercise and fun, they are getting cabin fever with not getting out.
Still having some issues with flooding now add snow into the mix makes for an interesting time, not, Netters you take care up there ya hear me?
Hope you are all doing well, have a great day and keep warm.
May you be a blessing to those you come in contact with today.
Much love to you all.
- Feb 1 by TheCommuterGood morning!
The outdoor temperature is a chilly 34 degrees here, so I am presently keeping warm with the central heating unit and my space heater.
I awakened a couple of hours ago, did some reading, ate a light snack, and have been browsing online for the past 45 minutes to one hour. I plan to do some laundry today because my unwashed clothes have really piled up over the past few weeks. Hopefully I'll also feel enough motivation to make it to the gym for some exercise.
Have a great day!

Very cold here today. All the employment stuff is done now, got registered for benefits and everything, so that's done, which is good. I've now officially switched from temporary to permanent employment.
Yesterday went well enough, went in a bit early to complete some paperwork. Going in early again, need a little extra time to make sure everything gets done. Not going to make this a habit.
Got the laundry done yesterday, will do the grocery shopping today. Plans for the weekend are uncertain, waiting to hear from my sister about rescheduling the birthday party.
- Feb 1 by aknottedyarnGood day all.
We still have the wind and biting cold here. A few snowflakes in the air but nothing much.
Yesterday left work early with a horrible headache. I was afraid. I now have it down to migraine strength. I think it is all stress related.
Today being Friday I expect strange things. They always seem to happen on Friday afternnons. SO will be in court almost all day so I better get straightened up.
Love to all.

We have the cold and the wind here, also, and snow is expected this weekend. I guess we still have a long stretch of winter ahead. My seed catalogs have been arriving, so that gives me hope Spring will get here at some point.
Sabby-hope the day is easy and you don't have any issues driving in the wind. Commuter-I have to get my heinie to the gym, too. I did go to the yoga class last night, which I thoroughly enjoyed, although my muscles say otherwise today. Joe-congrats on becoming permanent! AKY-hope you feel better as the day goes on, and there are no negative surprises in store.
Tonight I am going to a painting class/bar to celebrate my sister's birthday. I've done this once before and loved it. I think I paint much better with a glass of wine in me! Tonight's theme is "Winter on Cape Cod". We'll see what kind of a creation I end up with! Tomorrow my nephew turns 7, so i will drop by his birthday party. He's obsessed with the Loch Ness monster, so I got him a couple of books about "nessie". It should be fun.
Hope all are well today. Take some time to relax this weekend. Stay warm!
- Feb 1 by Spidey's momGood morning all. Went looking for a friendly smilie and picked this one.
Busy week as usual. I keep thinking I need to quit one of my jobs but the extra income is too good to pass up right now. Just wish I had a housekeeper and billpayer!
My daughter will be here on Monday - she's in the process of moving so her brother will bring her up in his pickup with all her stuff. She will spend the week with us helping me around the house and then she and I will drive up to Portland to move her in with her other brother and his wife. She is looking for jobs as a cook because her goal is to become a chef. School may be part of that as well but first she just needs to work and save money. There is no news from the court about her boss who left all his employees in the lurch with no paychecks and he hadn't been paying $ into their taxes, unemployment, etc.
I'm going to pick up my mother-in-law and take her to her hair appt. While she is getting her perm, I'll go chart at my hospice office.
Then . . come home and pay bills.
I'm on call starting at 09 until next Tuesday at 07.
Sorry about the cold narsty weather for many of you. That freezing cold weather finally lifted from us after a rain storm last week but the snow is still here. Got a huge mound of it next to my house and have to walk around it to get to my car. But at least it gets into the 40's or even might hit 50 today.
Enjoy your day!
- Feb 1 by tntrnGood morning from foggy (again) western Washington. The fog here is already lifting, unlike a week ago, where it was fogged in, all day every day, for a week. And I mean right up to our back door.
Today we are leaving on a jet plane. The destination is Phoenix, where our daughter lives, and where The Weather Channel promised mid-70's during the daytime. Yeah!
