Hi everyone, this site is a great resource. With all the nurses here, I hope you can answer some of my questions! I've recently met a wonderful woman who is a nurse. We're both in our mid 20s and single; I work in software and I'm relatively successful, we have mutual friends and a lot in common, so I think things could really work out.
I want to know if there's any good general advice when dating a nurse. I've dated different women but some of my nurse friends have said dating a nurse, and eventually marrying a nurse, are different. I'm trying to figure out what that means I should be prepared for, and if I'm thinking straight.
Basically, I want to show her my support, encourage her, and listen to her after her good and bad days. I want to be the strong man who's there for her and willing weather the storms, to put up with the wierd hours and wierd stories, and everything else. In all of this, I guess I'm asking two questions:
What general qualities would a nurse's ideal man possess?
What should I expect, and what am I getting into?
Thanks so much and I just wanted to say that you guys are appreciated for the jobs that you do.
