EQUIFAX Data Breach

  1. Equifax says a giant cybersecurity breach compromised the personal information of as many as 143 million Americans — almost half the country.
    Major consumer credit reporting agency Equifax reported on Thursday, September 7th that hackers gained access to company data. This attack may have compromised the personal information of 143 million Americans, including social security and driver’s license numbers.

    This attack may affect anyone who has a loan or credit card or has applied for a loan or credit card. Regardless of where you receive your loan or credit, your identity is potentially at risk. Please be on alert and keep an eye on all of your financial accounts. This includes bank/credit union accounts, credit cards, loans, and your credit report.

    They will try to minimize litigation exposure by offering assistance with the aftermath IF the victim sign away their rights to legal remedy.

    Hmm. I would recommend reading the fine print, this company is not presenting a very altruistic face.

    It's a big mess with them.

    Personally, I think they were cutting corners for bigger profits and now it's biting them in the arse.

    I wouldn't OPT-IN to anything on their site.
