Proof of Heaven by Dr. Eben Alexander
- 3Mar 3, '13 by azhiker96I read this book a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it. In some ways it has given me a greater sense of peace.
This is the story of an neurosurgeon who developed bacterial meningitis. When he awoke from a 7 day coma he had vivid memories of travel thru another realm. He recorded his memories to the best of his ability and thus produced the book. He talks a little about the book in this interview.
Here's an article on the book. http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/...2/proof-heaven
Of course, there are plenty of skeptics too. http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/...t-proof-heaven
Overall, it does not matter to me whether other people believe his story. I liked it and I hope others will enjoy it as well.

i could write a book on this type of phenomena, but 90% would be me rambling away so i will resist in doing so.
yes, i am a full believer in what he (et al) saw in another realm...
which is also consistent with my belief that we humans, only use a small percentage of our brains.
i just read this from facebook tonight:
"This is not about one religion because from what I saw, there is an infinitely loving god. Anything about religion that separates, divides or sets up conflict, you know that we're better than you, is not part of the all loving god.
~ Eben Alexander, Proof of Heaven"
thanks for sharing this, az.
