I saw an older thread discussing books people were reading and would love to start up another one!
I'm currently in nursing school and reading literature on the side keeps me sane! Reading fiction takes me away into another world. It's like a mini-vacation. This year I have read Safe Haven, The Lucky One, the Hunger Games Series. I have to say that Hunger Games is definitely entertaining, even for an adult audience! The series introduced me to the dystopian genre and I am in love with dystopian books now! I am currently reading the Divergent series, and I love it so far. I have a bunch of other books on my wish list! Has anyone read the Cousin's War series?

I have been doing a lot of reading on my kindle phone app. I enjoy Christian fiction books. Lately I have been reading Christian light romance. I find many of these books free by doing an advanced search on my topic of choice. Once I find the topic I want to read (Christian fiction as an example), I then click on the option "4 stars or above", then I click the option "priced lowest to highest". And voila! I find a bunch of free books. Sometimes kindle will offer an author's first book of a series for a few days so I will check weekly for new titles. Some are good and other aren't but it has been a cheap way to find books I might enjoy.
I also enjoyed the Hunger Games Series. Another dystopian genre series I read was Delirium. It had an interesting concept to it. Love is forbidden and is considered a sickness by the government. It was a pretty good read. There was cussing in it (I normally don't read books with cussing). I still enjoyed the books and would read them again. Some other dystopian series books I want to read in the future are the "Divergent" series and the "Matched" series.
I like the Nicolas Sparks books too. Safehaven was one of my favorites. I also enjoyed The Wedding, and Rescue. I have to take breaks from reading his books though because as good as the stories are, I get tired of the same style: We are in the present, now we are flashing back to the past, it's set in the south....by a beach....someone dies. When I find an author I really enjoy I will read just about everything they have written. So after reading the sixth book in a row from him, I had to take a break.
Sheesh...sorry I was so long winded. I REALLY enjoy reading.
