    Showtime will soon have a new series about a nurse that works in an inner city hospital, called "Nurse Jackie." Jackie will be played by Edie Falco (yay!).

    Trailer is provided in the link. Looks like it's going to be a great show that actually highlights what nurses deal with on a daily basis. It's supposed to be a dark comedy. How appropriate.

    About da%# time there was a show about a real nurse

    Now, let's hope they do it well - keeping her real. I see a few hospital sex scenes - typical...they just can't resist...yup, that's actually real too.

    I just finally want to turn on a medical show & see a nurse with a brain that isn't wandering around the hospital trying to marry the nearest doctor or being the most stupid person in the room.

    Or maybe - a show where the NURSES ACTUALLY DO THE WORK - & THE THINKING!

    My most (please catch the sarcasm) favorite episode of Chicago Hope: The one where the female Cardiovascular Surgeon stayed in her patient's room ALL NIGHT holding the patient's hand :chuckle:chuckle:chuckle:chuckle:chuckle Yeah, right!

    I adore doctors, wouldn't have a world without them...but even they know that the medical world would fall apart without !!!!!

    Nurse Jackie, walks 24 hours a day with a stethoscope around her neck and gets frequently groped?

    Hmmmm....I like House. Paranoid, screw ball doctors acting like god and stepping over nurses. Now thats reality!

    I have no sound, but it appeared to me that Nurse Jackie was cavorting with the men and snorting something....Yes, that is just how we want nurses depicted on a TV show....

    nurse jackie: "balancing the line between saint and sinner".
    (that was one of the lines towards the end of the clip)
    one nurse called her a saint, yet it shows her, yes, doing lines...
    a seemingly oversexed, snortin' saint.

    I didn't know nurses get groped a lot. Nurse jackie got groped multiple times. This is so not fair. Why don't I have docs groping me? Just kidding.

    I'm sure the Center for Nursing Advocacy will start a letter-writing campaign, if the show does the typical nurse portrayal.
