Anyone watch " Monday mornings" this week?
- 0Mar 21, '13 by MomRN0913It seriously made me mad. Their " DC" of life support was ridiculous!!! They shut off the vent, and disconnected it but left the ETT in!! And he struggled because they didn't start him on morphine!! *****???
Cruel, I tell you! But I know it's tv.

Keeping that in mind, I know in real life, if the patient is to have an autopsy, all tubes, foleys, ETT, IVs, etc. must remain in place to be removed by the coroner.
- 0Mar 23, '13 by MomRN0913No autopsy, no investigation. Just a do of life support for a young guy who had a massive stroke. They whole idea of that was there was a fight about trying to operate or give a peaceful death. They decided on the peaceful death and DC of life support. That wasn't the way to do it.
