If you really like him, then try. As long as you keep up with school you have nothing to lose. I managed a relationship while in school.

Focus on school. You'll have plenty time for dating later.

I guess no one told you that your husband will be your nursing career, just kidding. Once you are fully working you may be to tired to date. It is possible to do, just difficult. You have to be with someone who fully gets it and understands the demands and stress of your job. Luckily for me my husband understands. We have been married for many moons. We were together before, during and now after nursing school.

This might be a weird answer but I think it depends where you live. Hear me out...I worked about 25-30 hours a week while doing my BSN in undergrad so I didn't date at all. Then I worked for a few years to pay down my loans and get experience to get a master's. I did date a bit during my master's but I am now sleeping in the bed that I made. I actually have to move out of my state to try and find a prospective partner. I live in a relatively conservative area and most people got married in undergrad. Many people my age (early 30s) are now divorced with a few kids and do not want more. I am only 31 so I would still like to have a child. Putting your career ahead of everything else isn't always the best thing. If you have no support in your personal life, no job will make you happy.

You never know what will happen, or where life will take either of you. You can always have fun.

    Dear FutureProvider,

Please direct your question to Dear Abby! None of the nurses here know how to date, none of them has ever been in love, and none of them can truly give you a real piece of advice!

So for crying out loud! Please prioritize your nursing school!

    Lovingly Yours,
    Your Father!

Not gonna lie, I had no idea what I was doing when I was dating, but it worked out pretty darn well anyway. As for the rest of this open letter, say whaaaaa? "Your Father"? What am I missing here?
